The cabin was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Great to have beautiful fresh ingredients to cook for breakfast and we really enjoyed the rural aspect and watching the animals being fed. It was a very positive experience for us.

We spent Fathers day here with my family. 2 adults and 3 children and we stayed in the glamping tent facing the paddock with the cows and goats roaming around. Absolutely was a great weekend stay here and we would recommend staying here. The children got to feed the farm animals which they loved. Plenty of activities to do like swimming in the pool, playing tennis or basketball even late night marshmallows at the fire pit from 530pm. Having dinner on our porch with the BBQ was so nice. The eggs from the paddock, bacon and milk in the fridge is complimentary but absolute nice touch. We had everything we needed in the tent and it was enough room for our family. Thank you guys with amazing service.

Our little family had a great time at Hillview Farmstay this June, we stayed at one of their glamping domes, it was very cozy, clean and comfortable. Donna who looks after the farm gave us a warm welcome, and showed us all her animals. The kids loved the Alpacas and chickens. The ride exploring the farm was absolutely unique and worth it. This is a great place for a family farm holiday.

Half way between Sydney and Melbourne, and a manageable day trip away from the nearest snowfields, Hillview is a great spot for a family getaway. Pierre , Ruth and their staff offer amazing hospitality and service. The kids will have a great time with the animals and amenities. Highly recommended!

We booked here as a stop over driving from Sydney to Melbourne. The location is almost spot on half way which was convenient and they are pet friendly, which was essential for us. We couldn't see another option that came close to this place for rating, value and quality and we're very glad we made the booking.

The cottage we stayed at was spacious and nice. Check in was a breeze, especially considering we arrived so late. The owners were communicative and helpful and whilst we didn't do it the animal activities looked like a lot of fun for families.

We'd easily stay here again.

My partner and I stayed at Hillview Farmstay for a weekend roadtrip and we had an amazing experience staying in the glamping dome tent.

The property managers, Donna and Glen, are lovely people who made us feel very welcome. We had a minor issue with the heating on the first night, and they were incredibly helpful in helping us resolve it at 9pm. Their hospitality is what made our stay so incredible.

The farm activities were the highlight of our stay. We had so much fun feeding the animals and exploring the farm on the buggy ride. Donna and Glen were very happy to show us around and talk about the farm and their animals. You can tell they love doing what they do. The buggy ride is $50 per trip, and it was worth every cent as Glen took us further out on the farm and to the top of the hill, where we could enjoy the breathtaking views. We also made a few stops to interact with the farm animals. Later, we went hiking on the same trail, and it was tiring but worth it just to experience the views again!

The glamping dome tent itself was a fun and unique experience and had all the amenities we needed, including all kitchen and bathroom essentials, extra blankets, and breakfast (bacon, eggs, bread, etc) provided in the fridge. It was cozy and surprisingly quite well-insulated for a glamping tent. Waking up to the beautiful scenery was such a serene and refreshing start to each day.

Overall, our stay at Hillview Farmstay was a relaxing, fun and memorable getaway. Thank you to Donna and Glen for making it even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this farmstay to anyone looking for a unique and peaceful experience in the country. On top of that, we would recommend staying at least 2 nights for a fuller and less rushed experience. We probably wouldn’t have been able to fit in all the activities we wanted to do if not for a second night’s stay.

Lovely place with green rolling hills. Lots of wildlife and cute farm creatures. Very nice spot to stay after a very long drive. Thanks for your hospitality!

Wish we stayed more than 1 night!

Drove up from Melbourne to meet “halfway” with Sydney family and we had the best time. We were in the cottage with our dog and loved all the facilities onsite. Bathroom was super clean (which is a must for us), kitchen and bbq also very well-looked after. Great check in/check out process, super seamless.

One thing to note for those who don’t love creepy crawlies, quite a bit of hairy caterpillars that roam around - we mostly noticed them in the evening. Just had to make sure the kids and our fur baby didn’t touch them, especially near the fire pit.

Beautiful Farm stay. Perfect location in the middle of Melbourne and Sydney, easy to get to just off the highway. Accomodation was clean and well presented. Well equipped. Perfect for families with little ones. Cot was provided for our 1 year old. Will come back to try their glamping options!

I stay here regularly with my dog as I travel between Sydney and Melbourne quite often. The location is great as it splits the drive in half, beds are comfortable, check in is a breeze and it is always clean. Will definitely be back again soon!

We love staying at Hillview! It is our go to whenever we drive from Melbourne to Brisbane! We love that we can take our dog Luna! Great facilities, comfy beds and lovely hot water bottles to keep your toasty warm! Bacon and eggs in your fridge for the morning, animal feedings, and a morning visit from the goats! An absolute Just the best, always love our visits! Thanks and see you next time!

My family travelled from Singapore, and I've read quite a lot of good reviews, so here we are. We booked a night in the Safari Tent and 3 in the cabin but got a free upgrade for a night to the Safari Tent, which was really nice of the management.

Safari tent compared to the dome tents are much bigger if you have a bigger family it is more comfy. It also has a cubby house, games, toys and in my opinion more kids friendly. Safari tents are close to the highway so bring ear plugs. If it rains it also gets loud with things flapping all over outside. Internet reception is not available in all rooms but good connection at the safari tents. These are the lodging with best views. Beautiful sunset too. All rooms are very clean and inviting.

The single room cabin is farther inside the property just beside the dome tents so it makes these options a lot quieter and peaceful at night. No highway noise at all. Though for dome tents you still get the loudness if it rains! All lodging has BBQ. You get free flow of cereals, eggs, bacon, milk and coffee/tea. Wifi in cabin room next to the pool is weak but you get it on the patio and lounge. View is so so. The toilet is freezing cold and AC is in the lounge and not bedroom.

I love that we can park right beside our lodging. We paid for the buggy ride which was fun and worth it.

We had a great night stay here with our little dog. This was a great location to stop between Sydney and Melbourne. The cabin was really comfortable, great places to walk the dog, even got to say hello to a few farm animals. Would have been great to stay another night. My one regret is not ordering food to cook on our own little BBQ. Highly recommend.

Hill view was a delightful place to take a break on our trip from Melbourne to Sydney. We received a very warm welcome & were delighted to meet the goats. It was rural sanctuary after hours on the road.
A lovely pool area was a very welcome place to cool off.
If you have kids, this would be a fantastic location to stay.
We tried the Rose wine that was available on site (& named by King Charles) & it was delicious.
Hadn’t realised there was so much to do in the area. We would have stayed an extra night.

Stayed in the single room cabin. Very comfortable with king size bed. A great place to stay to break up the trip from Melbourne to the Hunter Valley

Hillview Farmstay is a great little place. Everyone there is super friendly and welcomed us like family. Our 2 yr old loved the daily animal feeding as well as the goat yard right our our front door.

Our dogs also were very intrigued by all the weird animals they had never seen, seemed like they loved it.

If we are travelling back that way again we will definitely be staying at Hillview Farmstay again

Really loved our stay at Hillview Farm Stay. Buildings were lovely and really well decorated. The included breakfast was a welcome addition. Bonus we could bring our furry friend. The animals were great, so many varieties walking just outside our door

Absolutely blissful experience of being at the farm stay. Every day a different experience and the views are just out of this world. You feel like you’re the only people in the place, which is fantastic. Ruth even contacted me to ensure I had enough breakfast supplies after being there a day, which was above and beyond!! As a dog owner it was just perfect to have her sit with us on the porch and watch the goats wander by. Wonderful memories of this place. Thank you.
