Animal Medical Centre

An excellent clinic that genuinely cares for all their fur patients. We took our cat here to get some further tests due to some ongoing health issues and they pin pointed the issue and provided a treatment plan. Highly recommend!

These kind folk saved our 9yo cat he was dying from a blocked euretha. He lived another 18 months then to be tragically killed in a road accident. A good Samaritan rushed him to Animal Medical Centre but nothing could be done to save him. They were caring throughout and sent out a condolences card. Thank you to all.

Wonderful caring environment, the vet was very professional and offered great advice in caring for our kittens. She answered all our questions in great detail and was very compassionate and thorough in our kittens first health check. I found reception staff to be very friendly and efficient.

Took my cat here for the first time yesterday and loved it. Everyone was friendly, the vet was great with my anxious fur-kid, and I LOVE that there are separate areas for cats and dogs. We're making the permanent switch.

What an amazing place to take your most precious members of your family. You are treated kindly and professionally from the moment you walk in the door. The receptionists are super friendly and helpful and the vets are incredible

The centre have a lovely vet nurse available for when our precious fur babies are ready to pass over the rainbow bridge, this gives us such peace of mind.

If this vet service was not available my beautiful little forest wouldnt be alive so many times hez been ill and they got him thro it Dear Dr Robb thank you all the people who complain need putting in the same room has the parents of their dogs who have been thro sheer hell to save these dogs and see if they complain there after thank you to all the very kind and caring nurses god bless each and everyone of you and the front staff thank you for all the time ive needed help and you helped me many thanx and merry xmas guy

Highly recommended, would not trust anyone else with the care of my animals. Have been using this service for well over 20 yrs. The addition of the separate dog and cat hospital is a major draw card for any pet owner.

We received urgent medical attention within 15 minutes of calling the practice. They had a room ready for us to bring King. We were informed regularly about tests, costs and prognosis. Unfortunately our Kingy didn't make it and cremation was organised. We received a lovely card in the mail from the practice too remembering King. Thank you so much!

Above and beyond! Our dog Buddy is a lot of work and full of energy. These guys were amazing with the care of him and us today.

As always, Sophie is treated with kindness and care, although I know she doesn't appreciate her monthly visits!! . Best vets in Launceston for cats - the cat clinic is amazing and makes it a far better experience for cats rather then in a mixed dog/cat environment.

We came to the clinic as they were recommended as the best to help our Oscar who had cancer. Rob and the team were so wonderful with him and us in a difficult time. Whilst the treatments did not give Oscar a long term result, they have given us a little more time with him and we have received so much help and support from Rob and the team.
We would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who has a furry family member. They truly care and are so attentive. We could not have asked for better help, treatment, and support.

The Animal Medical Centre has been my vet of choice for over 20 years for all animals. The staff are all animal lovers, professional & caring. Its great to know if your animal is having a problem someone is available 24/7.

Such a great medical centre. I had an emergency with my dog and they fit me in right away first thing in the morning. This was after being pushed away from 3 other vets in the area. Everyone was so helpful, informative and kind and really treated my dog with care and sympathy. Prices are also clear and reasonable. Definitely my dogs permanent vet from now on! Thanks everyone.

We have taken all our animals to AMC and the staff are absolutely amazing. This past week for example our little Koda hasn’t been well, we’ve had a vet visit and a few phone calls and the staff are more than willing to offer support and guidance. When I am even in doubt about our little kitten they are always there to help. You can truly see and feel that the staff at AMC genuinely care for your animals and their owners

My dog Ella has been going to see Dr R ob since she was a pup. That's 5 year's ago.
But l did have 2 other dog Maggie and Molly who have been going there for the past 8 years plus. But unfortunately they passed away this year.
I highly recommend Charles street vet the receptionist to vet nurses to the vets you can't go wrong.
They care for your pet just as much as you do.

By far the best veterinary clinic I’ve been to. When my family moved to Launceston 10 years ago with my Great Dane, I needed a clinic I could trust to be on call in case of an emergency. Not that I needed it in the end as he broke my heart and left this world in the middle of the day, but the team at the Animal Medical Centre made that process as gentle, respectful and beautiful as it could be. It’s been 6 years and we now have other dogs in our lives that all go to the Animal Medical Centre. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you to the whole team.

All staff are so very welcoming and caring. My cat is very nervous, but seems to manage being handled by the vets here easily. She had an adverse reaction to a vaccination recently, and when I rang to ask about her symptoms it was immediately identified and she was treated appropriately and quickly without fuss. Pepper was completely back to normal by the time we got home again! Very grateful and impressed.
