Food was super good, but the service was extraordinary. mieke was super patient with us when our group of 8 were trying to get our orders in. the girl working at the bar was also super super nice. overall, 10/10 experience and would definitely come again. keep up the good work!

My wife and myself dined at this restaurant on the first night of our recent stay in Darwin. The food, Prawn Salad and Crispy Skin Barra, was delicious and coupled with the attentive service we received from Meike and her colleagues was such that we felt compelled to go back for dinner a second time before we left town.
Once again the food, Beetroot & Fetta Salad and Kangaroo Fillet was delicious and the service from Meike and her colleagues was First Class.
Well done to all.

Lovely restaurant, the lamb & feta salad & peanut sauce with the chicken skewer were delicious! Quiet place for dinner and with the choice of sitting inside or out with a view of the Esplanade, Zest is a great place for dinner with good quality of food and service.

Amazing venue, breathtaking scenery and sunsets

Had the best meal, Barramundi was delicious, scallops were great too. Will definitely come back here, thoroughly recommend it.

Delicious food and great service

Zest is a great restaurant for a romantic date. The esplanade is there for an after #dessert stroll. #butterchicken ($25) looks and smell delicious. Very well presented, visually appealing, the spicy aroma makes me hungry. The mango chutney is nice little palate distraction. Waitress is very helpful and friendly, efficient chef, kind manager (review courtesy of manager and chef). Centrally located to #CBD and #park.

A reasonable place for a meal, a bit lacking in atmosphere. food and wine were good and reasonable value.

Stayed at the Novotel on the Esplanade for a week and although the rooms weren’t great the food was awesome

Breakfast daily a lunch and a few dinners.

Breakfast was a good balance of fresh fruit cereals juices eggs poached or scrambled hash browns beans bacon and mushrooms.

The first night I had the steak which was a fillet about 220 grams rare with vegetables.

The steak was deliciously good with the jus and pan fried greens my coworker had beef cheeks that was tender and the rest looked awesome.

The last night we had Barra pan fried and I had oysters kilpatrick. Wasn’t great at all the oysters were overpowered by the over cooked bacon and far too much worshtishire sauce, making it sticky and heavy tasting.

My Coworker had the Barra and it was the tail end cut so got overcooked and incredibly dried out.

But overall it was a a solid four stars because when they did it well it was seriously good food.

Service can be a bit slow though.

The place needs a good update but the staff were fantastic and made up for the experience. Even when my aircon went the service guy was lovely and came pronto in the morning.

Would definitely stay again.
