Australia Post - Broome Post Shop

Del was incredibly helpful and friendly, making this easily the best experience we’ve had at an Australia Post. Del was very knowledgeable and couldn’t have done more to help us post some items. Also worth noting that the AusPost app is awesome!

Broome Post Office staff, Post Shop & Parcel Collection, and the people who we see working out the back loading & unloading the delivery trucks are helpful, courteous and friendly. They all deserve a round of applause 👍👍👍👍

Staff not overly friendly.

Staff are friendly, BUT they lost and lied about a parcel that was sent to my hotel, after 5 visits and numerous follow ups with head office they admitted to not knowing where the parcel was, despite weeks of telling me it was in someone else's PO Box which it never was !!

Furious! Waited for far to long with no service attendant in site, Pressed the call buzzer and continued to wait, still not Aus post employee came out after another wait of 3 or so minutes the lady in front of me pressed the buzzer again, waited another 2-3 minutes when I heard a person was close to us, I said "Hello" in a nice friendly voice, the gent that came out was very surly advised "I am not on the counter today, But I will assist" I advised I am not on the floor at my work but I am always assisting customers just the same. The next gent arrived on the counter and I explained that i had been advised a parcel was apparently delivered here last week for me but I had not received any notification of its arrival, could he please check if its here, ( I was being very polite at this stage) Ronald advised I would need a tracking number, I had my email with me and I was able to provide him what the number I had in the email but it was not a Aus Post tracking number, he advised i would need the tracking number (He was not being very polite in his tone) I said could you please check using my name and address, he replied "I could but you need a tracking number" I explained I do not have a tracking number please check using my name and address, his reply was, "you may have been advised it was here but without a tracking number" Now I was getting quite angry with the rudeness and plain laziness of this group of people, I cut Ronald off and said "PLEASE CHECK USING MY NAME AND ADDRESS" he requested my ID and checked my details and was actually able to find my parcel instantly.
I understand we are in peak season in Broome, and they are busy however I too am busy, I am a resident of this beautiful town, we do not have a postal service in Broome, so we have to collect parcels and all mail from a PO Box we do not have an option for delivery. If I did have a choice I would not be dealing with Australia post in Broome it was disgraceful and very disappointing.
I am 37 years old and this is the first negative post I have ever provided in my life. Shame on you fellows on this occasion, I should hope tourists have not had to experience such poor service from you!

I have been trying to call them and it is impossible to get through!! This has happened on several occasions and friends and family I have spoken to have all had the same problem!! Their phone answering service sucks!!!
