Great selection of Asian groceries which is rare to find on the Central Coast. Glad the new owners were able to keep this business going !

Side note: I’m unsure why there’s so many complaints about pricing it’s like these complaints are made by people who are completely unaware of the inflationary environment that we’re all living in at the moment. This is a small business on the central coast obviously they need to charge more without the economies of scale that larger grocery stores have access to 🤦🏽🤦🏽

I love shopping here. I have only ever been treated with care and respect from the staff there. It has a great broad selection. I am surprised at other's reviews regarding the behaviour of the staff, as I have never had anything other than attentive care and kindness. Even with the challenging times of COVID they have remained open whenever they could and complying with all the rules associated to protect the future of their business and their community.
The selection of Asian options and many other cuisines has resulted in me being a patron for over 10 years now. I love trying a new dish, product with the help of the staff with their useful hints and tips. They never promote a particular product cause it costs more, just tell you what's good and tasty. I have never bought anything from here that hasn't been amazing. Will continue to go back without question.

They have all the goodies for Asian cuisine that you cannot get at your local supermarket. Staff is very knowledgeable and can help you to find what you need if you have an item on shopping list that needs replacing as derived from original recipe. Pricing is better than most local supermarkets. We always get the pork buns and gyoza. Definitely worth a trip and get your shopping sorted.

We’re so lucky to have Chan’s on the coast! I’ve been coming here for many yrs now. If you need any advice about what tastes good or how to cook something, they’re always there to help with a friendly face! Very reasonably priced and great authentic products. It’s always a bit of an adventure too!

Great selection of Asian basics and goodies. Customer service is fabulous. I usually have 2-3 small kids in tow and staff are always willing and helpful so I don't have to spend ages finding stuff on my own. They are also great with recommendations about which item to get when there's a choice between multiple brands.

The best part is that because Asian grocery stores are rare on the Coast, whoever is in charge of the buying at this store has done a great job picking the more reputable options and brands for each of their goods.

Nicest staff! We went in to browse the vegan meat section prior to lunch date and wanted to just buy some drinks before coming back to get the frozen goods. The owners (I assume) late us take the drinks without paying as we didn't have cash and just asked that we come back when we're done at lunch. Great selection of Asian foods.

Chans is the best, Tong and Linda are always welcoming and very helpful. They have the best range of vegan options I've seen anywhere. I recommend the faux duck, faux crispy chicken and my favourite the vegan bbq steam buns... yum. thanks Chans, we appreciate you.

A really great range and staff are super knowledgable and helpful. Covid safety plan in place and I found that a lot of the products were much cheaper here than at the bigger supermarkets. There is everything from confectionery to noodles, plus all the cooking utensils and equipment needed too. A great shop if you're looking for anything Japanese!

Chans is a great place for all your ingredients. They have a great selection of sauces, spices and noodles. Their frozen section has everything from: Dim Sims, Spring Rolls, Tofu and so on. The staff here a extremely friendly and very helpful, with great ideas on recipes. A great place for all your Asian ingredients.

Absolutely fantastic place - everything you could possibly hope to find - even Megachef! I love this place. And the owners are divine (with a GREAT sense of humour! :) ) If you love cooking Asian food, you h a v e to come here to get the right ingredients to make it special.

Best Asian grocer in Greater Sydney! The owners are absolutely lovely and always have everything I'm looking for.. Including all my vegetarian mock meats and options all day every day. I highly recommend this place.

I've always found the Chan's supermarket to be really helpful. They have such a huge array of products, all helpfully sorted into regions or cooking styles. They’ve even got sliced beef and chicken to throw into a Pho noodles, that's really bloody handy. I always take my kids in to have a look around, they always end up finding some interesting little South East Asian dessert or sweet to take home. Make sure you don't walk past the list of recipes they have printed out, ready for you to go and grab your list of ingredients in store. There's some pretty yummy things there to whip up.

You'll also find a section filled with kitchen utensils, plates, storage, woks, steamers - even a few things there for Chinese New Year. In the fridge you’ll find a whole bunch of different soft drinks imported from different parts of the world as well as freshly packaged meatballs, fish balls, shrimp balls, herbs, noodles, vegetables and aromatics.

I love the family atmosphere, the owners - I wish I could tell you their names - they're very friendly people and always willing to help. They close earlier on a weekend so make sure you don't leave yourself without enough time to grab those extra special ingredients for your dish.

very good range of products over a variety of cuisines - japanese, korean, indian, filipino, et al. great selection of frozen vegan faux meats and other products. superbly friendly customer service. i have been shopping here for well over a decade and shall continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
