Rottnest Island Campground

Nice campground, have all the facilities needed, toilet, BBQ area/Kitchen, bike parking area. It's near the pinky beach and the light house. There are lots of Quokka around the camp at night, watch out for the food they might steal one..

My last minute booking spot on and was unsure at first but the experience was amazing and worth and cheap. You are allowed to pitch 2 tents and maximum occupancy of 6 adults. The kitchen and luggage drop point were few step away from the multi campground. The pinky beach was the nearest and coolest spot for quiet and quick snorkeling or swimming. The Bathurst lighthouse was close too and the toilet and hot shower you couldn’t ask more. There were cricket pitch, soccer ground, tennis court and basketball court really close to the site.
Though it’s unpowered but you can use solar lights and electric lamps to powered the tents. Very safe place and only intruders you will encounter is the native mammal the Quokas (they are really quiet and friendly neighbour and amazing warmth of them for invading their territory 😜)

Great camping ground, it’s clean, with wifi, clean toilets and kitchen, watch out for the seagulls, crows and the cute quokkas coming for your food.

Very happy, comfortable and relaxing. Good facilities. Don’t forget to check in at tourist centre when first disembarking the ferry.

Wow! Such an amazing Island , lots of fun , specially snorkeling , and biking around the island , don’t miss out people to go to Rottnest this summer, ,, you will fall in love with the Island and the little tiny animals it calls Kowaca,,

Vom Victoria Quay in Fremantle dauert die Überfahrt mit der Fähre rund 30 Minuten. Vom Elisabeth Quay in Perth rund 90 Minuten...

Gleich nach der Ankunft werden die Besucher gleich von den immer schmunzelnden, gefrässigen und heimischen Fellknäuel ,den Quokkas empfangen, von daher kommen auch die berühmten Quokka-Selfis...🐻🐨....zustande...
Direkt am lebhaften Hafen hat man die Möglichkeit ein Fahrrad zu mieten um damit die gesamte Insel zu erkunden........🚴‍♂🌴🏝....
Rottnest Island hält noch einiges an Sehenswürdigkeiten bereit, wie das türkisblaue kristallklare Wasser an über 63 herrlichen Traumstränden welches zum Schwimmen 🏊‍♀ und Schnorcheln 🩴🤽‍♀ einlädt....
Verschiedene Wanderwege führen zu verborgenen Buchten und wunderschönen Aussichtsplattformen. Von der New Cathedral Rocks, beobachtet man eine majestätische neuseeländische Pelzrobben Kolonie, wie sie in der Bucht spielen oder auf den Felsen ein Sonnenbad☀ nehmen...☀☀..

Für Adrenalinjunkies bietet Rottnest Island einen eigenen Flughafen um begleitet von einer erfahrenen Fallschirmlehrerin, einen unvergesslichen Fallschirmsprung 🪂aus dem Flugzeug ✈ zu wagen und geniesst dabei die grenzenlose Freiheit vom blauen Himmel aus, bis man total gefläscht wieder an einem der vielen Strände auf sicherem Boden landet......Ein einmaliges Abenteuer..und absolut top....🪂🏝

Vom Hafen von Perth oder Fremantle aus gelangt man mit der Fähre🛥 ganz entspannt nach Rotto, so wird die Quokka-Insel unter den Einheimischen genannt.....!!
Übrigens, Perth ist die Hauptstadt von Westaustralien und gilt mit durchschnittlich 3200 🌞 Stunden im Jahr als die sonnigste Stadt Australiens. In Fremantle lädt der Cappuccino Strip, eine lebhafte Strasse voller Cafés und Bars, zum Verweilen ein, wenn man grade auf seine Fähre nach Rottnest Island wartet...

Westaustralien ist das ganze Jahr über ein beliebtes Reiseziel. Man sollte sich jedoch bewusst sein, dass der Frühling im September beginnt, und wenn Besucher ihre Reise nach Rottnest Island mit einer Wal-Tour verbinden wollen, sollten sie die Reise zwischen September und Dezember einplanen...!!
Das grosse Abenteuer ruft es gibt viel zu entdecken mit atemberaubenden Küsten- Landschaften, vielen Naturschätzen und über 63 Stränden.....🌄🏝☀🌊

Great place to stay on Rotto. Some sites are small and all packed pretty close together and some not so shady. No flame stoves allowed but there are BBQs and a camp kitchen. No powered sites, so charging phones etc can be problematic, so take solar or battery if possible. Take sand pegs for your tent. And ear plugs.

Pretty annoying that they leave the lights on in the kitchen so it's bright as daylight all night if you're camped in the two spots by the kitchen like we were. There were plenty of open sites in the dark (and more shady areas) but we didn't get to choose our spot. Not sure if there's a way to do that, but that would be a real improvement. Other than that the campsite was fine, but expensive.

The Camp kitchen has no fridge

I rang the camp site to arrange the luggage drop from ferry to the site I was waitron for 3 hours at the site the reception never told me how long the wait could be. I missed all the sunshine as my bathers and snorkel gears are all in my luggage. Very poor customer service no care whatsoever to people who book camp site. 1 star.
