Rottnest General Store

This supermarket in the Rottnest Township is absolutely amazing. It literally carries everything from fresh food to nappies to Allen key sets. As far as pricing is I think it's not overpriced.

They offer prepared salads, picnic platters and ice creams to get you through your time here if you don't want to go out for every meal
Grab some snacks and water for your day trip on the bus or the bikes. Forgot nappies? Go shopping at the General Store. There is even a delivery service! The staff were nice too, and all produce was fresh.

Upscale general store that has everything you need and more! They have the freshest produce and a large assortment of everyday food. You can also find unique gift items from Australian vendors!

Some items are priced accordingly for the location and logistics , others not so and quite expensive, …..

In 2021, due to the lockdown in Melbourne, I couldn’t make it to the island myself, and Jennifer kindly organised the shipping of quokka plush toys to my place (with a surprising postcard)!

In addition, recently, I visited Rotto and this store to buy some more quokka plush toys. I wrote them another email to ask for a replacement since one of the items is a bit broken. Surprisingly, it was Jennifer getting back to my email again! And she was super kind and offered a shipment of the replaced item to Melbourne for me.

Thanks to Jennifer’s service, I’m sure I will visit the island and this store again in the near future.

This is a well stocked store on Rottnest Island. They had a great range of souvenirs at reasonable prices.

Great store. A bit pricey but if you had a General Store on Rottnest, I bet it would be pricey too! 😉

The delivery service they provide is efficient and convenient. They even let me add a birthday cake I ordered from the bakery to my delivery. Thanks guys for getting it there safe and sound.

They have most things you need, friendly staff with prices nowhere near as painful as I was expecting.

My wife and I visited the store on the 15th February and purchased quite a lot of memorabilia. When we arrived back to Fremantle I realised we had been accidently over charged after checking the receipt. I rang Glenn and he asked me to send him a copy of the receipt. The young girl couldn't remember the transaction as it was very busy at the time. Glenn however, without hesitation, rang me and said he would gladly refund the overcharged amount. Thankyou Glenn and all of your friendly staff. We will certainly be recommending your store to all of our friends.

They should call it Rottnest mega market. The ultimate in holiday supplies. Lots of thought has gone into what to sell. The guy at the counter was a really fun friendly upbeat guy, great attitude. The food we bought was of a very high quality.

The quokkas there were great food excellent!

They have a pretty decent selection available, I was able to find everything I needed in my many visits to the store over the last few weeks. The staff are super friendly and happy, they definitely come across as people who love their jobs, which is essential in retail!

Love Rottnest general store, nice old fashioned service and love that they deliver shopping free of charge to where you are staying. Its also nice to see one of the same workers there year after year and he always greets us in the same friendly way.

What l love about Rottnest general store is the incredibly friendly and polite attitude of the manager and staff. I have been coming here for years and its always the same. It can be difficult in the tourism industry when dealing with endless streams of tourists and its easy to become jaded and unhelpful but these people don't change. Great store, great prices and great service.

Majority of essential stock is presented as one would need for either quality island getaway or casual one-day trip.
Staff is very friendly! And prices are reasonable for a vacation hub.

Well stocked general store - super market. They will deliver. No complaints. A little expensive but to be expected for an island. Attached Bottle shop closes an hour earlier on Sunday at 6pm so please note!
