Dôme Café

I sat down for an hour at Rom Cafe, which had an unexpected Rottnest Island vibe and played jazz music. Thanks to the friendly staff, I was able to briefly enjoy a cafe latte. In hot weather, it is recommended to take a short break while sipping a latte here after touring the island.

Had tried to go here earlier in the day but a huge line waiting to order, and a large number of people already waiting meant I would've missed my tour bus departure. So went upon my return, just before they closed for the day. It is a little surprising at the early closing time of a large establishment but I am guessing it's tied to the ferry departure times for the staff to return to the mainland. The service was friendly (despite the end of the day and the intent on cleaning up etc) and coffee was good.

We ate here twice while visiting Rottnest. Food was amazing both times. Large meals and very tasty. Service was very friendly and really fast. What a team ! Chefs,waitresses and waiters great work!! Thanks to Steven for looking after us with a special dessert there at the end before we had to catch the last ferry. I wish we had a Dome in Qld with the same high standards of food and service.

Really enjoyed the lovely food and quick service. The coffee is always fantastic at all of the Domes which I really like.

After cycling around the island we stopped by for a well earned rest. We ate from the all day breakfast menu.

My friend had the big Breakfast.
I chose the salmon, eggs hollandaise sauce. My eggs were perfectly poached. Everything was delicious. Will order the salmon again for sure.

Our experience at Dome on Rottnest has been second to none! The food is fantastic ~ fresh & well presented, we had breakfast here 3 mornings in a row as it was so amazing! The customer service has surpassed our expectations; the staff are kind, attentive & efficient. Last but not least, this cafe has the best view!

Had the seafood basket. The seafood was fresh and well seasoned. The cakes looks delish! The staff were polite. Wonderful ambience. Great place for a meal.

The current building was opened in 2006 after the old building, that was closer to the bay was demolished in 2005. This was "old" new Dome was built in ? the 80's? and prior to that "the tearooms" occupied the site that the current building now sits on for 50? years.
The Dome opens at 7.00 am and closes most days at 4 p.m. Later on Friday and Saturday.
The food and the coffee is always fresh and good quality. The service is friendly and efficient. I got some exceptional service from Narli yesterday 👍
Steve, the friendly general manager, tells me that the Dome Rottnest is the only coffee shop in the world that has 4 arabica coffee trees growing at the front door. 😄 (see pic)

This is my happy place on Rotto. To be fair, some of the dishes are quite average, but at the same time there are some amazing choices, like the scones (both the sweet and the savoury ones)! The scones here are freshly baked and very different from the scones you find in other Dome cafés. The atmosphere is great too, because you can unwind and relax away from the busy area of the Settlement. I have always been taken care of by the friendly staff. Thank you Dome ❤

We had breakfast here. Lovely food and lovely coffee. Great way to start your day before a big adventure!

Had breakfast while awaiting for our bike rental around 8am. Food options was huge. You can get either a light, or hearty breakfast. I ordered the smoked salmon rosti which filled me up the whole day of cycling. Can consider having your breakfast here instead prior your day of adventure.

Unexpectedly one of the best coffees I’ve had! We dropped in for breakfast as they were the only one open, food was average but coffee excellent.

I love that I found this place!! It’s literally the closest thing to the American “cheesecake factory” I’ve found and it’s open late with an all day breakfast menu! Honestly if you told me something like this existed randomly on Rottnest Island I’d have laughed. So what do ya know haha! Had the fritter stack sooooo good

first thing in the Morning on rottenest island. beautiful breakfast and very fast to serve on table all at once for five meals with drinks. impressed .

Now, when I say this place is 4 stars, I mean this place is 4 stars. I was really impressed with the service and the friendliness of the staff. And this is not an exaggeration, but the food was delivered to us in about 6-7 minutes of me ordering it, and, what impressed me the most, was that it was totally packed, and they still managed to serve the food so quickly. Food also was excellent. I also like how they let the quokka’s in so it’s a great place for kids to get to see them. Overall, excellent establishment. Recommend this place entirely.
