Discovery Resorts - Rottnest Island

We stayed in a beachfront “tent”. It was more like a 5 star room at a good hotel. Room was spacious with separate bathroom and huge his and her wardrobe space. The shower was excellent and everything worked perfectly. Staff were all excellent in all areas. The breakfast was as good as it gets with a huge selection on the buffet. The views were excellent and the location perfect with bike trails everywhere. 5 stars!

My sister and I stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. All aspects of the resort (tents, grounds, bar/restaurant areas, and pool) were very nice. The included breakfast buffet was great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful as well.

Quokkas hop all around the resort and are very cute, but they will try to get into your food if you leave it out! One thing to note is that if it is very windy the tents may shake in the wind.

We would stay here again!

This was an absolutely perfect place to stay while visiting Rottnest Island! Perfect location on Pinkies Beach and about a 1km easy walk into the settlement. We loved our eco tent and found the whole place so peaceful. The bar, restaurant and pool area was the perfect place to relax and refuel and the buffet breakfast was amazing. The staff were very welcoming and helpful which tied it all together to make it the perfect spot to stay.

What a great 3 days we just spent at Discovery Rottnest.
Tom the General Manager was awesome, and went out of his way to ensure guest satisfaction.
The bed was incredibly comfortable and the rooms were clean and tidy.
Breakfast was a delightful spread of hot food along with fresh fruit and pastries. The chia pudding was the best we've ever tasted!
The warmth and hospitality we received from all the staff was exceptional.
Thanks to Tom and his team for making our stay a wonderful experience.
Can't wait to return next year!

This place is fantastic. The glamping tents were perfect for our family of 4. The restaurant and bar on site were wonderful, great BBQ dinner option and delicious cocktails. Breakfast buffet was very nice, lots of fresh fruit and tasty options. Staff was lovely every step of the way. Location was perfect for exploring the island. Highly recommend!

Really wild place to escape Perth and relax! I highly recommend it. Very clean and feels like a high level hotel I’m definitely booking again soon. Staff were very friendly and professional and the breakfast is first class everything tasted perfect. I left feeling much more relaxed then a trip overseas didn’t need to catch a plane home which was amazing. 👌

Just spent 3 nights here over the long weekend, and can't recommend it enough. Very clean and tidy Glamping Tents are spacious and very cool during the day. Compared to other accommodation on the island, its good value when you include the breakfasts and ancillary servies. Rooms serviced every day. Pool area, Bar and restaurant are fantastic and staff couldn't have been better. Will be back next year.

Unforgettable Paradise Experience: A True Dream Retreat!
Recently, I had the chance to escape to what felt like a slice of paradise at this beachfront resort, and wow, did it exceed every expectation!
The rooms? Absolutely gorgeous and spotless, VERY clean, toilette with eco-friendly and natural amenities they were unique.
We got the tent 4, in front of the paradise, was an unique and amazing experience.
Stepping into the resort feels like walking into the future, but with a cozy, beachy twist. The entrance, set amidst sleek tents, is just cool and inviting.
And you really get it all here - an amazing bar, a nice restaurant, a pool, and that stunning beach/lighthouse view. It's like having your little world, where everything you need is just a stroll away.
Big shoutouts to Aurora for making our stay extra special. They were all about making sure we had the best time, always there with a smile and ready to help with anything we needed.
In short, if you're after a beach holiday, where the views are unbeatable, and every detail is taken care of, this is your spot. Between the amazing service, the beautiful surroundings, and the eco-conscious touches, it’s the kind of place you'll be dreaming about long after you leave.

Comfortable room (Deluxe Tent) from Augustin and the maintenance guy who came in off duty to fix a light issue. Alex on checkout was also extremely helpful.

Tent 7 was well located, not too near Pinky’s bar, and just a walk across to the beach.

Such a beautiful time spent in Discovery Rottnest. The glamping tent we had is well-equipped with everything you need. There are bbq facilities around the site and walking distance to beaches. You get lots of quokka visits throughout the day. Delightful breakfast, very helpful and attentive staffs, special shoutout to Alex and Mark for all the effort to make our trip so memorable.

Even though I’m still here 😂 I only thought it fair to leave an outstanding review for this place and especially its service. Management, this is for you: Alex, the lovely French girl at the reception needs a raise!!!!! She was so incredibly kind to my mother and I🥰 My mum was left alone for her anniversary and she really wanted to stay here, specifically at tent 3 in front of the ocean. Alex went out of her way to accomodate us and made sure to leave us a bottle of champagne in the fridge as well! That’s some top tier service right there!!!! She was kind, funny and so exceptionally lovely. If she’s reading this, thank you so much for making this trip special for my mum and I, Alex 🤍 You are an absolute gem and you made the trip so much better for us 🤍

The staff, facilities and accommodation were all absolutely fantastic. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade upon check in and this absolutely made our week! It was completely unexpected but we were so grateful and loved the deluxe tent we were moved in to. 10/10 will recommend and we will 100% be back again! Discovery on Rottnest Island offers an idyllic holiday destination for solo travellers, couples and families. We had one of the Delux Oceanside Tents. Spacious, comfortable bed, great facilities and good views. The buffet breakfast is excellent with a wide range of food varieties, to cater for all tastes. The staff are very helpful and courteous.
The bistro menu is very limited Sunday to Thursday. Friday and Saturday nights, they offer more choices. The seagulls are very invasive when eating outside. Netting definitely needs
to be put up as a deterrent.
There are more eating options in the Settlement area plus a well equipped Supermarket.
Take a tour of the island by bus or bike. There is so much to see apart from the cute Quokkas. Recommend!

We loved our stay here! Good price and includes a buffet breakfast. Pinky’s restaurant overlooks the beach and the staff are great! Only downsides would be no hashbrowns at the buffet hahaha and the walk to get there but that’s to be expected. Overall a great stay, we’ll be back!

Really nice cabins, better than we expected! Plenty of space and a full bathroom, really clean, too. Pinky's Bar and restaurant were good, with a few vegetarian options.

Awesome experience. The hotel staff are so polite. The rooms were clean and well equipped. Breakfast was amazing. The pool was nice and I took some beautiful photos. Plenty of space to park your bike if needed. The quokkas were abundant and came to visit on the verandah.

The place is very nice, we arrived around 8am and ask if we can leave a few of our stuff as we are going biking and yes they have a place for us to keep it before our check in time. Check in time was 2pm but was messaged that tent is ready as early as 11:30am.
Room was clean and has everything you need for a short stay, from towels to warm blankets, to microwaive and electric kettle, and cutteleries.
Breakfast is free and is very yummy. The pastries are great and food is availble to your hearts content. Coffee is decent but not to those that really likes proper barista coffee.
All in all place is good and staff are very welcoming and accommodating.
Actually the whole of Rottnest Island is great, with very caring, nice and welcoming people.

It was a very comfortable stay for 5 pax in the superior family tent. As the location was a bit of a walk from the jetty, the staff were so helpful in providing transport for the elderlies to and from our accommodation upon our request. Also, the breakfast was a great spread.

Great spot for a family or couple to enjoy the beach and town of Rottnest. Good facilities and our accommodation (we booked superior room) was well appointed including bathroom and kitchen. The convenience of transferring your bags to and from the ferry is exceptional!

My only criticism is that it is poor value for money but not worth dropping a star.

Noise can travel given the walls are tent/canvas, but the earplugs supplied were a nice touch.

The most perfect location for a stay on Rottnest Island. Our cabin was less then a 2 minute walk to Pinky’s Beach. Beautiful spot for a sunrise with the lighthouse. The staff could not be faulted. They really are the best people for local advice of where to go and what to do. We just wanted a sunset over the water and they gave us 3 options even went into detail of which they wouldn’t recommend at the time based on the wind and direction. As for the cabin. They really have thought of everything. And the bathroom was better then the 5 star hotels we were staying in the city! 10 out of 10!! Would recommend!! Cannot wait to be back.
