Fantastic lighthouse to explore and many quokkas around the area. The volunteers are the nicest most helpful people you’ll encounter on the island and are a pleasure to talk to. Recommend doing the tour and having an in-depth chat about the lighthouse and its history. Do visit while here!

Beautiful lighthouse and quite a good view here, you can see all over the island from here. I also met a few Quokkas on the way to the lighthouse.

You need to book the tour to go into the lighthouse.
I didn't book the tour to go inside the lighthouse, so I don't know if the tour is good or not.

Be prepared to walk up the hill even though you buy the Island Explorer bus, it only stops at the pathway, and you still need to walk up the hill.

Very cool looking light house with its fair share of history overlooking the Indian Ocean and helping navigation. It costs $15 to go up, there are guided tours available if you want to find out more. The area around there has a toilet in a shed and a coffee cart that doesn’t sell much food- some packets of chips and protein balls but nothing substantial so make sure you eat in areas on the island that do serve proper food. You might be lucky to be greeted by quokkas too! You can access the light house by bike or foot which will take you ages or the best option is the hop on and off bus that drops you off 600m away

I managed to catch one of the tour from a volunteer called Bruce. Together along the tour was a family with three little kids.

The tour is very insightful story about the lighthouse and about the previous technology involves with the lighting. From using kerosene lamp until up to this stage of LED. Current LED was said was never even replaced since the first upgraded it back in 2016/2017. The last halogen lights back then could only lasted like about 10 months.

Bruce would also shared the historical of worker who came here and stay to maintain the lighthouse where they have to stationary fulltime on top of the lighthouse. How the family lived here.

The glasses surrounded the lighthouse turn around 24/7 to make sure that the sun is not reflecting off the glass towards the plants around the island to avoid any fire to start especially on a dry season.

Took a long route by walking to the lighthouse. Lots of up and down on the trail and the amount of house flies were so irritating.
The surrounding gave good view of the island. Did not pay to go inside he lighthouse.

One of the key stops on our bicycle tour of Rottnest Island. The lighthouse is on top of a steep slope so be prepared for a tough ride up. You can park your bikes before the final steepest stretch to save yourself some pain. To go into the lighthouse and climb to the top of the lighthouse tower, you need to join a tour which lasts 30 mins and costs A$15. We opted not to do the tour. The scenery around it was worth a stop already.

Nice attractions while on Island. You can go inside the lighthouse by buying a ticket. I was a bit short on time so missed the chance.

Amazing place and what a spectacular view, must visit on Rottnest Island 🏝. You can also go to the top of Lighthouse but it's paid. You can buy tickets on the go.

The addition of mobile LTE communication on the outside with cables you see inside is not great.
The light house tour and view is brilliant and a must do on the island.

My only regret is not staying longer! Crystal clear waters and cute beaches around the whole island. Irresistible quokkas with their friendly smiles are not timid and can be found everywhere. Loved visiting!!

The lighthouse is located in a beautiful location on rottnest Island. The view around it is amazing. In order to get to the lighthouse, you can either walk or cycle but I recommend cycling because it is a long journey from the ferry terminal. Along the way to the lighthouse u can also take beautiful pictures of the scenery and enjoy the breeze. The lighthouse also have a tour to bring u up to the lighthouse but there are limited timings and you have to try your luck. It is suggested that you reach the island early at around 10am so that you have enough time to travel around the island as it is quite big.

Awesome spot. We did the tour which costs $9 per adult. It's well worth doing as you get to climb up the 150 steps to the top and go outside. Also the history of the island is explained. The guide told us how the lighthouse functions and changes made to it over the years.

An amazing experience to visit this beautiful, historic lighthouse that gave us an incredible feeling of travelling back in time.

The highest point in the island. You’re every 30minutes until 2.30pm, run by volunteers, and costs $9 to visit.

Well worth it. Wonderful views and an interesting tour. Staircase not great if you’re not good with heights, but I managed.

Great spot to see Quokkas sleeping or snacking underneath the trees on the road to the lighthouse. Glad we took this detour, it was really cool seeing the Quokkas out in the bush, in their environment as opposed to congregating around the town centre. Just make sure not to feed the Quokka anything including water! Saw a tourist trying to pour water into the mouth and had stopped it. It’s not good for the animal. Please do NOT feed or give water to a Quokka in order to draw it out for the sake of getting your own selfie! They are curious creatures and likely come to you anyway.
