East Bay Camping Ground

Was very busy when we went but others were generally respectful, beautiful location right next to the beach and completely free.
Drop toilets, nothing fancy.
Dog friendly so yay!
Signs say no caravans but we went anyways. Not that bad 🌊

Lovely little camp ground, stayed here for 4 nights. Free of cost but spots are definitely limited. Can 4WD drive on the beach, dog friendly. There is a long-drop however no other facilities. Limited Telstra signal. Can be very windy and cold!

Great spot, small but awesome scenery

As much as I don't want to put this place on the map....what an absolute gem! Arrived there in darkness. Pitched our tent, had no idea what to expect when we woke up but when we did... JUST WOW! Beach at our doorstep, white sand, soft waves, beautiful scenery with contrasts of greenery, ocean, sand and clouds amidst hills. Explore the trail on the hills which leads to huge rocks. AMAZING scenery. Walk to the end of the bay. The stars are visible with the naked eye...ALL OF THEM. Absolutely stunning. No phone reception and the seclusion is great to detox and unwind. Dirt road on entry, very bumpy and drive on beach to camp. Definitely need a 4WD. Drop toilet on-site.

Easy bay is an amazing place for the more adventurous. Rougher camping, four wheel drive access to beach, it's quite hard for the first few hundred metres and gets softer around. Handles easterly and westerly winds, great fishing, snorkelling, surfing for Malibu's and beginners, and boating using the beach to launch as it's close to lots of good reef for fishing and patchy bottom for whiting. Pelagic fish also run point to point in warmer months big yellow tail kingfish and Samson fish as well as barracuda and much more. Toilets there a 2wd car park and camping area and you can get a camper van in there onto the beach and park above the high tide line to sleep on the beach without getting bogged.

Small camping area for free but very popular, 1st in waterside view and only 1 drop loo.

Love that place, amazing view as you camp along the beach and so quiet as you are hidden from the wind. The perfect place to stay for a few days chilling on the beach, swimming or even fisching!

Stayer two nights..first one was perfect..2nd one was a lot of noise from "the residents" cause they had visitors and booze. But gorgeous spot and amazing bay..beautiful sunsets!

Was there in 2019. Still think of this exact spot. A highlight in a 9 month journey!!

Heaven on earth! Free camping next to the whitest sand and bluest water. 4WD not required to get to campground. IG adventure__unlimited

Went for a drive to East Bay Camping ground and although we didn't stay long, appreciated the white sand and seemingly endless Beach.
Plenty of room to camp on the beach and the ocean seemed a lot calmer compared to Betty's Beach.
The surrounding scenery wasn't as spectacular but a great spot to camp nevertheless.

What a great spot for a rest well worthwhile

Beautiful location but very popular, we squeezed in at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon and many more people arrived later, some left, some were shoehorned in by the voluntary warden
