Adelaide Hills Getaway

We loved our stay at Adelaide Hills Getaway!
It was cute and comfortable, had heated sheets too!
Dave was very helpful, even when we misplaced one of our keys by accident, he was there within 5 minutes.
Would recommend for a stay in the Adelaide Hills.

It was a great experience staying at Adelaide hills getaway! We alao checked out the crystal lake while we stayed there, it was a beautiful park. Highly recommend to check it out during the stay.

Brought my other half on a weekend getaway and it's such a calming and quiet place. The rooms were comfortable and I love how easy it was to book the accommodation. We wanted to disconnect from the world and we didn't even have to see anyone to get access to room keys. Complete privacy. My second time staying here and if you're looking for peace and quiet - definitely recommended. One of the gems is that it's located right across from Three Brothers Arms Hotel which is an absolute must if you're in Macclesfield.

Beautiful location. Not luxury but still very nice place to have a getaway.
No reception, almost everything is done over the phone and pay a direct payment into bank account

It's old and a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Perfectly located for visiting my relatives who own the Macclesfield Hotel.

The town is lovely, although the accommodation is in a little disrepair, unfortunately showing its age. It has a lot of potential and with some TLC it could leave a better memory.

This accommodation is awful. Bathroom toilet leaked all over the floor in huge puddles. Toaster didn’t work. Power point in kitchen was taped off. Pillows were lumpy. Very over priced for what you got.

The size of the accommodation was quite pleasing. There was enough space to feel comfortable with four adults and two children. The view from the kitchen and lounge was lovely.

However what significantly detracted from the above qualities was the overall uncleanliness of the accommodation. The oven had not been properly cleaned after previous use so spaghetti was left on the stovetop and a potato chip inside on the oven tray. The kitchen handles had finger and handprints left from previous occupants.

Many of the lights did not work. This was very inconvenient when using the bathroom at night or trying to prepare for a day out.

We were allocated the top floor apartment. We were unable to open the main room windows for fresh air as there were no screens. This in my opinion is very dangerous given the height and young children present.

I can overlook tired décor but not overall cleanliness when paying money to stay somewhere.

Feedback was sent via email to the owner / manager but no response received.

Overall very disappointing.

It would have to be the worst place we have ever stayed. Flithy, smelly. Old. The bed linen looked like it had been there since 1930. It's was horrible. This was the first unit. We rang Dave who wasn't really interested but did tell us to have a look at the other unit. The keys are under the mat. Well it was a little bit better so we swapped. We did try and find somewhere else but as it late afternoon we couldn't get anywhere. We believe Dave lived close by like next door but didnt even bother to come and talk to us. Kitchenette what a joke. Frypan old and broken. No tongs no egg slide 1 smelly dishcloth. If the owners think they have got a nice set of units they need to think again. Even our neighbours said how dirty their "lodge" was. We certainly have learnt by our mistakes and will never ever stay in this horrible place again.
