Kuitpo Forest Reserve

Came here with the family on the weekend to pick mushrooms (only the edible ones of course). Air is fresh and very relaxing for a walk. Good to take the children outside away from all the electronics. There were lots of mushrooms. We laid out a picnic rug and had lunch which was very enjoyable.

Beautiful area, great hiking trails. We didn’t have long so opted for the 3KM Forest Trail. This took us about an hour and we veered off the trail to check out the Chookarloo Campground.

The Forest Trail was a lovely walk amongst the pine trees. Easy to follow path (although it’s a good idea to take a photo of the map to make sure your taking the right route). Plan to return to do some longer hikes.

Great spot for an easy walk, or something more with hiking trails. With many different car parks, making all the trails easily accessible. My dogs love the walk

Beautiful area with several tourist spots. Lots of trails and camping spots and a fantastic location to explore nature. The drives around this area are
also nice, surrounded by trees and wildlife. Highly recommend visiting and camping in the nearby camp site over night.

Definitely bring a friend or your furry buddies and go for a relaxing walk.

Perfect spot for a walk in fresh air and nature. Often rarely see anyone else and it’s perfect all seasons around.

Great fun and adventure for the whole family, we will make sure we are alsi prepared for a barby next time round, Highly Recommended !!!

Have enjoyed my walks amongst the trees birds kangaroo mushrooms flowers it’s very enjoyable my dog🐶 loves it too it really is a lovely spot for a nature walk some of the tracks can be up and down so be careful going down is ok but getting back up is the hard bit 🤣

Great spot for a walk with the dogs. Walking trails through a variety of environments and good camping facilities (including toilets and fire pits). Keep an eye out for the occasional kangaroo and abundant bird life.
