Australia Post - Weipa LPO

After a very long, and tiring day I stopped by the post office. Every so often I have an interaction that reminds me of the special, and unique aspects of small town living and Weipa in particular. The man who assisted me yesterday was kind, patient, and helpful. Thank you again. You never know when a small act of kindness from a stranger will turn your day around. Cheers.

Very rude, especially the older lady. I just moved here as a professional and had one thing sent there. Now it's gone and delivery service said they refused to accept it. Don't feel very welcome or part of the community with such actions. I thought in a town this size the PO would be the heart of the town, or at least friendly and helpful. I was wrong!

The worst post office I have ever used.
Mail always comes a week late. Couldn’t get a post box for months and they don’t provide street delivery of mail, finally got a box and it’s on a wall that they can not access during the day, so we always get our mail an extra day late. Staff are the rudest I have experienced at any store, never helpful, they almost take joy in saying no. Just went to collect my mail at 3:45pm, I was in line behind two people and the lady said they were closing, because their power was going out soon and she couldn’t hand myself and the other person waiting our mail, which would have taken two minutes. I’ve never heard anyone speak a good word about the place, people are constantly complaining about the service, not sure how they haven’t been audited.

Rude staff , dont expect to pickup your parcel if its raining as they store it in containers and wont go outside !! Poor run aus post

Unhappy staff can be very rude at times not really a good customer service provided, mail i.e parcels can be delivered 1-2 weeks late most of the times. Years ago growing up here they used to deliver mail to your street mail box an we’re really nice staff back then in the 90’s not anymore now.

Staff are rude,
Hold Your mail for ransom when barge has been unloaded and organized but because its not the next day they wont release it.

Defiently dont go out of there way to help the locals.

Staff need to be sacked and get new people that actaully want to be there.

Not happy with this service at all, I can't see the hard work on burge day. I haven't received one parcel on time, because they have to much to do, ( is what they told me )

RUDE++++ staff. Especially the guy at the back window where you collect parcels. Horrible experience.
