Had their Sunday roast and apple and quandong pie. It was absolutely bang on the money. Great service and atmosphere too.

Great food, amazing people and relaxed vibes. This is the place where you can unwind and get fed well after the day spent riding the Mount.

Great pub. Stopped in for lunch whilst touring. Loved it the moment we walked in. Spacious, plenty of atmosphere, and the food was great.

Recommended is my final word.

Stopped here for an impromptu lunch. What a pleasant surprise! Great service and beautiful food. Nothing too fancy. Great steak and gorgeous squid!!!Huge serves, true to Aussie country hospitality. We’ll be back. Next time we will try the wines. Rumour has it that you can taste Bundaleer wines at this venue.

We booked here for dinner for a group of 20 of us. There was a great buzz and atmosphere on arriving and was extremely busy.

Being such a large group in such a busy pub I was sceptical that they could pull it off. But they nailed it! The food came out super fast, everyone received what they ordered and the food was excellent.

There was a great range of special parmys - many of us had that and were not disappointed!

Thanks to the team of hard working staff making our night such a good one.

My wife and I cant speak more highly about our experience. After finishing the Mount Roland loop walk we were treated to delicious meals and very reasonably priced beverages. Lovely staff and atmosphere.

Great range of well priced food. Really enjoyed our dinner and view of the mountain.

Fastest pub meals I have every had. Had only taken the top off our beers when we were called to the table, meals served.
Repeat performance on the next two nights proved it was a typical thing. Meals were very good pub grub, at good prices.
Friendly an accommodating staff, would happily return again.

Friendly service. Lovely renovated historic building with indoor and outdoor seating. Pool table and TV, good pub menu. Can't go wrong.

Great pub but make a booking for dinner. Lovely food, great service, nice atmosphere in old pub and side extension.

Awesome pub - love the decor. Be sure to check out the original wooden fridges behind the bar. Amazing meals- have to recommend the Quandong pie but the lamb Yiros and the Thai noodle salad with chicken were also pretty good.

After mountain biking @ Mt Remarkable we were super hungry and enjoyed a tasty meal at this cosy country pub.
Would definitely go there again if we pass through this town.
The Chicken Stack was yum! Atmosphere was really nice especially as I don't normally like pubs.

My first visit here. The food wasvery good .plenty of seating. Many in our party chose beef and veggies and the serve was very generous. I chose Atlantic salmon with salad and chips. The Salmon was very good .
It was a cool night so the heating was appreciated. Price wise they seemed to be about average. The polished timber tables was a feature , and possibly came from timber in the area.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Great vibe, aesthetically rustic & inviting, top spot! I especially like the vintage trucks out back converted into accommodation. The owners are a married couple & just really good people. Xxxx

We stayed at one of the trucks, what a fabulous idea and we absolutely loved the design of it, extremely affordable too!!! The food at the pub was average, but it has a Wild West vibe to it which is cool

We recently stayed a night in the green truck with our two teenage kids, it was amazing! It was like being in a tiny house with so much character! Super cool experience and the cleanliness was exceptional! The pub meals and coffee were beautiful. We will be back! Thanks.

Had dinner here and just couldn't fault it. Excellent, unpretentious pub grub. Schnitty was crisp and perfectly cooked, pepper sauce was spot on - and not drowning the dish, the chips were hot and crunchy and the salad was super fresh and well dressed. Yum. Food came promptly and I had a peek into the kitchen which was spotless.

Beautiful outback themed country pub. Great food selection & lovely staff. So good we had our next evening meal @ same hotel. 1/2 & full serve of Big Kahuna Schnitzel & beautiful rib-eye steak 💐

Had an awesome meal up at the North star hotel in Melrose. Absolutely fantastic food and atmosphere. Will definitely be planning another trip to Melrose soon even if it's just to come for the food.
