I'm in love with this place. We have patroned the Cafe every day since arriving two days ago. Great food, unique atmosphere and friendly staff. I now have an addiction for their smoothies and hubby can't stay away from the bike accessories. A must visit for anyone heading through Melrose.

Incredible service and not bike related.
We had bought some items in the cafe and asked about walks in the area. The friendly waitress sent us into the bike shop. The man there could not have been more helpful and gave us all the time we needed to understand the best use of our time the next day. Tips about the upcoming weather and terrain were perfect. We did the Dutchman Stern the next day and rate it as one of the best 1/2 walks we have done throughout Australia. Settled into camp in the afternoon and will come back for Alligator Gorge next time. OTES went above and beyond expectations, I came during off season, contacted them on the off chance they would rent me a bike. The store was being renovated and the owner on holidays in Tassie, but he was kind enough to have his lovely wife and owner of the cafe sort me out with a bike. It’s been a while since I’ve hit the tracks. But the bike was just right, they even provided me with a messy (cloth map). Such a chilled experience. The tracks on the other hand, epic fun. If you want some fun hit dodging bullets, it comes at you fast. What a great way to spend the day. Thank you OTES. Highly recommended

Excellent！
After the summit hike is already 3.40pm! This is the only place still providing proper meals (not only chips). Other places are closed between 2-5pm.

This place is amazing! The food is great and the smoothies and coffe made us come back for more. The service was great too, they are all lovely people and use fresh food all the time. If your looking for some cool shirts, good food and amazing drinks this is the place to go!

Food was good, coffee was good, and the staff at the bike shop are definitely worth having a chat to before heading out to the nearby trails.

Great friendly and efficient bicycle hire and help. They made their own personal bike rack available for us so we could enjoy the trails of the Northern Flinders Ranges. Thanks again.

A hidden treasure in this beautiful town. Mind blowing selection of truly delicious cakes and raw treats. Great coffee and smoothies. All the things you want to indulge in while on a getaway.

From the initial phone call to pick up and drop off, I can’t fault the service. Very friendly and quick. Bikes were in great working order. Will Definitely use the business again

Good coffee and a nice little all day menu, with gluten free toast available. I had the baked beans and damn they were good. Just what we needed after a cold rainy morning outside. Also a good selection of cakes and sweets, including vegan and GF options

Great bike shop and cafe. On our first day in Melrose we rented Trek Fuel EX 7s and the bikes were in pristine condition with suspension already adjusted for our weight and preferences. Bikes of this quality are seriously good value for the small rental fee. Workshop staff member even let me borrow a tool quickly to fix an issue I had on another bike.

Had breakfast at the cafe the next morning, outstanding coffee and great food options.

Popped in to have a chat about checking out some bike trails in and around Melrose. Spoke to a young lad that was really helpful and then the owner Rich. He spent the best part of half an hour talking to us and drawing out on a map what to see depending on what we were up for. Super friendly and helpful. Had a brilliant ride thanks to their advice. The shop is well fitted out, bike hire, service and equipment/clothing. Café next door is amazing. Great coffee. Fantastic stuff guys. Thanks heaps👏

The best bike store in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. Iron Thumbs got my tyre off and I was back in business on the Mawson Trail. Even has a cafe with loads of treats. Highly recommended bike store. The town is the oldest town in the Flinders Ranges and Outback. Well worth a visit.

Surprised to find such fantastic coffee in such a remote spot. Cosy atmosphere and interesting things inside to look at.

Melrose at the foot of Mount Remarkable is a great MTB location and Over The Edge Sports is its beating heart. The Melrose show grounds are a good camping option for access to the national park.

Our Mawson Trail weekend came to a big halt within the first hour with my Tyre completely blowing out (brought tubes but the Tyre was completely destroyed) Our options were walking back to our car 3 hours away and cancelling our trip. Then I thought of calling Over The Edge who were flat out this weekend with the 18 hour race taking place. We told Rich our problem and he offered to deliver the Tyre (unbelievable service in our time of need ) he even helped us get it on the rim and inflate it. That’s again Rich from me and Frank.

Very clean. They have thought of everything. Owners are great. Also offer good advice about suitable rides
