A nice easy peaceful walk. We did the Monitor Loop which was about 7km. A few creek crossings but an easy walk. Sign posted well.

About 2km into the loop a dog appeared from a retreat house nearby. He walked the entire way with us and had a tag on his collar that said he was the tour guide. Wallace was his name and very friendly. Will be back again.

Great trail to either hike or mountain bike ride. I'm a hiker so I hiked one the larger trails. The landscape is stunning with a variety of biomes: from Sugar Gum and Long Leaved Box forest in the higher slopes. Mixed SA Blue Gum, White Box and Grey box woodlands in the middle slopes and former pasture and mixed Peppermint/Grey box on lowest slopes of the walk. I went in Spring saw huge variety of flowering shrubs, perennial grasses and a few Orchids! Heard and saw an amazing array of insects and birds. From a variety of different butterflies, meat ants, a few dragonflies and moths. I observed Kookaburras, wrens, galahs, Rosellas, Ringneck parrots, Lorikeets, Wattlebirds, and Peregrine Falcons. If you love nature, bike riding or hiking... a stunning spot.

Great trails for inexperienced riders to build some confidence on, with some fun harder trails up the hill too

New trails are techy, flowy and worth the effort. Like all Destination Trails they work well for beginners and shredders, getting harder the faster you go. Well worth the ride out on the rail trail.

Toilets have been added, more shelter, bike tools and more MTB trails in the making. This place will be fantastic for families and MTBs to explore as the terrain isn't steep

Another fantastic addition to the Melrose trails. A bit of everything thrown in should cater for most tastes in mtb, with Melrose just up the road can easily turn a ride into an epic adventure 😎
