Tides of Rhyll

I was told this was the best fish and chips in the entire island and they did not disappoint!! 😁 The staff were extremely friendly, the food was absolutely delicious and on point! I highly recommend the combo pack for 2, the portion sizes are very generous too! Can't wait to come back!

Oh my gosh! Where do I start? We found out about this golden gem from a Cowes local, who advised us to get ourselves to Rhyll for beautiful fish and chips. That was four years ago, and the fish and chips are just out of this world! Golden and crispy, melt in your mouth batter, fresh flake that is white and soft, thick crispy potato cakes and delicious salads - it’s heaven!

We returned last Friday and it’s been a long four years away but we have not forgotten the amazing food served here and the friendly staff.

Ordered 2 Fishbites for $1.70 each. They gave us 4 pieces. Not sure if they were being generous, or if they consider 2 pieces a single Fish bite. Either way, great value for money and fantastic quality fish and batter. It even came with lemons. I'll have to come back and try this place again.

Quick service, 10-12 minute wait for a very delicious lunch.Fish, Chips and Salad was worth it! Seriously the best lunch l have had from a Fish shop in years! Sat outside to an amazing view. Staff were very pleasant an the waitress was a lovely lady. I can see why the place was packed an yet quick an polite service.

Visited few times during past couple of years, service and food are consistent.

As fish n chippers go, this was excellent. Good was week comes, not oily and the fish was perfect. Grab a beer or a glass of wine. Busy but quick service. Definitely a go to when you're in the mood

Can't fault a thing about this place. Value for money great, quality of food great, style and atmosphere great, customer service great. I'm rarely compelled to write a review, but these guys certainly earnt it.

So yummy! My hubby is a seafood snob and he said its some of the best he's every had haha Such a nice atmosphere and our kids loved taking in all the fishing memorabilia on the walls. Thanks for having us!

Best fish & chips i have had in Australia. The fish was cooked to perfection & the batter is spot on! How it should be.
My wife & i shared a combo for 2, which is more than enough. Great value for money, great service & delicious food. A must fish & chip shop visit if you are on the island

Friendly atmosphere with nice sea view, the scallops used were really fresh and huge in size - not easy to come by in the city. Would love to come again :)

Some of the best calamari we’ve had and cooked to perfection. Nice customer service. Worth popping in - good beach views. Expect to pay a little more than your usual fish and chip shop, but you get what you pay for! Definitely will be back - yum! 😊

Simply the best fish and chips I have ever had hands down. The staff are super nice and friendly.

We really enjoyed our meal here. The fish batter was crispy and moist, also not too oily. We also ordered the calamari we were really impressed, will recommend for others to try!

I agree with the other reviews that the food is great value. The establishment has a charming nautical vibe and our meal was ready rather quickly. Everything tasted good and salt, pepper and vinegar are available to season if needed. We had the blue grenadier fillets which were fresh and flaked beautifully. The chips were ok too.

Okay so I haven't checked ALL of Victoria... But this has got to be a contender for best 'classic' fish and chips. Especially the grilled king prawn skewer; to die for.

The joint itself is right across from a small beach and has heaps of character inside, including a small second hand market! They handled all the extra attention like champions too (public holiday week) so great service.
