What a great country pub in Dookie. I had a lovely meal and staff were pleasant and welcoming ... I even created a YouTube video of the town to be released 14 June 2024

Came from Shepparton just to try this pub and we could not be any happier, brought the family here for a beautiful dinner, and a beautiful dinner it was. It may have been the best Parma I’ve ever tried, and not mention it was huge, the chicken in it was beautiful and tender. The flathead tails were so crispy and tasted fresh and not frozen unlike most places. The meals were quite big and if that wasn’t all, we were serviced by a beautiful young girl and she couldn’t be any happier to help my family with any needs. We are 100% coming back here!!

Great country pub. Good food and not expensive. Big beer garden for a nice day or a fire inside on dreary ones. Dookie is a great little town/hamlet.

Thank you for a lovely lunch on Sunday, the background music was wonderful, the service top notch! We ordered garlic prawns and the steak, YUMMO. We all work so hard and to relax at the pub with all of the above, made our day, Love Tess & Gav

Do love this pub. Always have since I was young. It’s in Dookie Main Street. Friday nights they have a meat raffle, joker poker, and the atmosphere is awesome.

Great atmosphere! Friendly & fun staff! Terrific meals, at more than fair prices & fantastic service! This Pub has heaps of country charm & local history oozing out of it, but at the same time, promotes a laid back, relaxed & comfortable environment for dining with friends, family, or just cooling down with a refreshing drink! The outdoor seating area has a lot of character as well & very nicely maintained! Well worth a visit if you're driving through, or staying in the area for a while!

Our group of 7 visited mid-week. The service at the bar was sensational, the beer crispy cold. Most welcoming.
Everyones meal was fantastic. Steaks, snitzels and roast of the day (beef) were ordered. Not unreasonable prices for any but the roast was outstanding value. Well worth a visit!

Really nice old pub with friendly owners. The beer garden is also really great with amazing views of the Dookie hills. After our father passed away we approached The Gladstone to cater for the wake and they were very accommodating. 5 Stars!

Stopped for Lunch today; very welcoming atmosphere. Food was excellent. Ongoing Live Music on Sundays, too; fantastic idea. Many thanks Val, Bryan and Staff. Most enjoyable; will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Loved reminiscing about my college days in Dookie. Food was amazing (and fast!) and staff were superb friendly. The place has definitely changed from the late 90s early 2000s but the improvements are incredible.

Great food, such friendly staff, homely pub atmosphere and really nice pub interior. Adorable pub dog too! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good feed in the area.

Owners and staff were all authentically warm and friendly. New owners since December 2019. Menu has good variety, quality and very tasty dishes. They've chosen the name Gladstone Hotel as this was the original name which is a nice sentiment. We had a relaxing and restful Sunday lunch in the sunny garden

Wonderful ambience. Welcoming and gracious hosts with equally personable staff. Very satisfying portion sizes for everyone in our party (How did I manage to eat the whole meal?) Delicious!

The good Old country pub hospitality, awesome to walk into a venue, yourve never been an instantaneously Love It. Pizza an Parma night delivered the most flavoursome pizza. Will definitely be back.

Great little country pub, food was great, the outside beer garden was lovely and a nice view of the local hill. Friendly staff. Can get busy at times.. also you can see where VB is made in the mens toilets.
