Mallacoota Bistro hotel

Wonderful food and great atmosphere with 10/10 service. Definitely a must eat at if you're in town and great for a weekly meal. The calamari was absoiely my favourite and their special spinach dish was also delicious. Highly recommend!

The special was T-bone & lobster tails $64. Simple & exceptional. The plate in this photo is absolutely massive, the waitress couldn't hold it in one hand.

Really enjoyed visiting here. It's a place where the whole community seems to gather & everyone enjoys it.

Every now and then in Australia you get American size meals. Huge! Tasty. Good quality food but someone needs to research what refried beans is, three bean mix on a plate is not it.

Place was packed, we expected a long wait but our meals came out quickly and the staff were friendly.

Excellent country pub with very good meals. Popular with locals and visitors. Fast and friendly service.

Manager Tyler greeted me and personally showed me through to the dining area. He requested I find him if I needed anything. Gorgeous! The menu options were wide ranging. I chose lamb cutlets & the mushroom gravy was delish. Tables were clean, lots of space, Fishing Club food raffle underway. Couldn’t ask for more.

Nice family run business. The seafood platter is good value. I've tried the more expensive platters up the coast and this one was competitive for the price. The Thai style mussels were especially tasty. I also got to try their homemade sticky date, which was the best I've tried. Definitely give the bistro a go next time you're in Mallacoota.

Five stars all round. Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever been to. Within about 5 minutes of ordering the food was already at our table. The chicken burger I had was amazing, I love restaurant burgers over fast food burgers. Below is a before and after shot of my food 😉

Came for a fishing comp (awesome btw). Pub was busy, we were seated and eating happily without issue or waiting. Friendly, obliging staff and stress free environment. I have dietary restrictions and when mentioned they were all over it. 11/10

My husband and I both had the grilled lamb with Greek salad and tzatziki. The place was really busy so we expected a lengthy wait. But our meals were served within 15mins and were amazing. The beer garden is really inviting and dog friendly.

Had the seafood platter and then 2 weeks later I had it again. Beware there is no consistency- obviously depends on the chefs mood on the night. Twice the amount of calamari one night. Oysters 6 natural 6 kilpatrick one night - 12 natural next night. Presentation of prawns cooked and natural differed as well etc etc
Good but I was spoiled the first night therefore let down the second.

For a pub, the dining experience and cost was great.

The Food was good and large servings.
Would certainly go there again.

It was very busy the night we went for dinner however the service was speedy and the meal was much better than we expected. Enjoyed eating there. Would go there again if we return to Mallacoota.

Had the Chicken Kiev and it was the best I have ever had. Succullent to the last bite and with the creamy mushroom and bacon sauce it was very tasty including the mash and veg.

Tonight I had the Nacho Parma. It was the best thing I've ever eaten. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals even my fussy children. Friendly helpful service. A+nachos

Arrived in Mallacoota on a Thursday and it happens to be “Pot and Parmy night.” A beer & a Parmy for $25! The Mrs. Frothed it.
I enjoyed a grilled barra & oyster special. Local oysters from just up the coast. It was a 10/10. The kids meals were GREAT value for money.
But the number one item that you need to try is the Sticky Date Pudding. Hands down the best I have eaten. So many are more like a cake. Finally someone has a recipe to make it properly.

I had the Calamari Salad on the specials board.
OMG! What a delicious meal experience. Super tasty with the right amount of dressing and all the salad flavours worked with the calamari. Well done would go back tomorrow & order it again.👍
My hubby ordered the ribs n salad.
We were a little disappointed when it came to the table.😭
1 small rack on the plate.
All cudos to the chef another plate of ribs were delivered to the table with an apology . It was the end of the ribs so they did another serve.
Thankyou chef and staff for recognising the small serve.
Would recommend everyone stop by to have a meal.
Walked away satisfied and full.

I’m always a bit 50/50 when it comes to pubs. Some pubs can be dark, dingy and smelly with average food but others are awesome and The Mallacoota Bistro Hotel is such an awesome pub! It looks great inside, especially the bar. It’s cozy and warm on a cold windy night, the staff are so friendly & the meals were great! We loved it. Thanks Mallacoota!!
