Dale was a friendly and informative guy who ferried us from Mallacoota to the start of our Nadgee Wilderness Walk. He also went out of his way to help us with our car at the other end. His knowledge of the area is amazing and we’d love to come back and do a boat tour with him sometime. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful cruise through the bottom and top lake of Mallacoota. Colin our captain on the day knew so much about the waterways, Mallacoota history and wildlife around the area and he was happy to share his knowledge and answer many questions we all had. We got to experience Sea Eagles taking food (chicken wings) off the the water. Cruise was advertised for 2 hours but we were on the water for about 2.5 hours. Tea, coffee and snacks were offered on board. Great experience for everyone, you won't regret it.

What a brilliant experience! The highlight was the feeding of the sea eagles. We got to see them really close up. Col is so knowledgable about the marine environment, the birdlife, the history of the area and his love of Mallacoota shines tbrough. Great value A+++++

Dale is an absolute all round legend. Deep and diverse knowledges of the local area marine and land. Dale provided car and boat transfers for me and friend for a trail walk through the Nadgee Wilderness Area, ending on Bidawhal country in Mallacoota. Could not recommend highly enough. 5 stars and some more!

We took this cruise thinking it might be a good way to see the lake and had very little expectations, especially after seeing the boat on the mooring the day before. What a pleasant surprise. While the boat is smallish and has a lot of history it is well suited to the task and comfortable enough. It also makes for an intimate experience where you can talk freely with the captain, Dale, who is very knowledgeable about the area and regales you with a mix of history and ecology of the area in a very personal and charismatic way. He even gave us tips on how to photograph the eagles feeding right next to the vessel. Unfortunately we did this trip on the last day of our visit to Mallacoota and wish we had made it the first as you learn so much about where to go and what to do in the area. We highly recommend this cruise as a great introduction to Mallacoota.

You MUST find Mallacoota Cruises and you MUST get out on one of the 2 boats-Loch-Ard or Gypsy Princess. Mallacoota stay not complete without doing this. Dale or Col will charm you with their stories & show you what this part of the country really means.

What an experience! Dale was beyond amazing and our cruise was the highlight of our stay in Mallacoota. Worth every cent! Not only was Dale extremely knowledgeable but he was very charismatic and had a great sense of humour - the whole boat enjoyed listening to his stories. We brought a nice bottle of red with us and sailed the afternoon away watching sea Eagles feed their babies and watching the gorgeous sunset. Thank you for such a memorable afternoon Dale, we will be recommending you to everyone we know! Cheers and safe sailing mate!

Nice tour across the „upper“ lake. If you have a boat license would recommend to pick the faster boat!

We had a fabulous morning on the Lochard boat. The captain Dale was so welcoming and made it easy for my elderly mother to board the boat. The tour took us all around the lake with history, feeding the sea eagles and a lovely morning tea. This boat tour is a must when you visit Mallacoota.

Col, the Skipper of this boat, (takes about 20 people), shared his genuine love of Mallacoota, using his true blue Aussie sense of humour, interacting well with passengers and answering questions. Col explained much about wildlife and we obtained great photos of him feeding eagles with chicken wings. The passionate unscripted way he told us about the history of Mallacoota, fish licences, Landcare and info about being a local was wonderful.
