Paysanne Cafe, Woodend

Paysanne is a great little find for us. We often pop in for a coffee and cake when we pass through Woodend. Excellent choice of gluten free food as well as other delights. Coffee was also great. Parking is good. It was busy inside (always a good sign) but plenty of seats outside. Staff were very pleasant. We will return on our next time we visit Woodend for sure.

This place is a gem , great food and most important they cater gf for ceoliacs. Family member was able to enjoy brunch. Thank you for also looking after who need to eat gf due to ceoliac. Brunch was so yummy , we have been here aftew times and your chef does not disappoint.

Great place! very busy and cosy outside, but no lack of seating. Great outside seats with a view. And good food and coffee!!

The food was delicious, so much flavour. So many gluten-free options. The wood fire made the area warm and comfortable. The staff were lovely. Definitely, we will be back!

A nice surprise on our Victorian holiday. Delicious specials (lamb shoulder pot pie and arancini balls) and friendly personal service.

For Father's Day we attended, and I cannot speak more highly of our experience. This experience was undoubtedly a five-star. Warm, delightful, prompt service, exquisite food, homemade delights in abundance with the owner's Swiss background evident throughout.

Good food. But some of them not worth the price

We dined in and had the sauteed Cauliflower, the mushroom medley risotto and the pasta special of the day. Some of the most delicious food we've ever tasted! The staff were polite, friendly and provided great service! Will definitely be back!

This is a charming cafe, I chose it on whim because I’m half belgian and recognised the word “paysanne”. The service was great and the food was absolutely unreal! What would appear to be simple dishes are in fact an intricate balance of flavours and use quality ingredients. Will be coming back for sure!

This is by far the best dining experience we have had in a long time. 3 absolutely perfect and delicious breakfasts; exemplary service from staff who clearly were born for the hospitality world. Gorgeous country town setting as a bonus. Has been 5 days and we still haven’t stopped commenting on how great it was. Can you please move to Tasmania????

Very accommodating, with great food and great staff. Booked ahead and arrived to a friendly greeting and a table ready to go. Staff were great and the menu was large enough to accommodate everyone but not to big that its hard to decide. Drinks and food came out quickly once ordered and tables were cleared once finished. At no point did we feel rushed or that we were not wanted as customers. The signature Paysanne dish was great and a definite recommendation. Kids menu makes it easy to satisfy the younger ones. Family friendly and a great experience for all.

The perfect spot for brunch in Woodend. Very busy on the weekend so make sure you book to avoid missing out.

I had the Coq Au Vin, it was the very best meal I have had eating out, for a long time, so flavoursome and cooked to perfection! Hubby had the Duck, it was so very tender. My son had the Paysanne Breakfast, it was perfect! Hot drinks were great and desserts were delicious. Excellent and friendly staff. We will definitely be coming back again❣

Wonderful! Classic dishes without pretension done perfectly. Everything about the Coq au Vin was delicious. No frills friendly service.

Very good coffee, great selection of cakes and treats, and very friendly staff. The cafe can be a little tight when busy, but for small groups this is a great spot. They're open nice and early on a weekend, so they are very convenient to visit if you're sightseeing in the area.
