If you're not a hiker, like myself, this is a great first go.
Bring a bottle of water and snack, and don't forget to grab a bite to eat at the Cafe - really great food!

The uphill walk isn't far, but steep, take your time and enjoy the views.
You can either take the steep stairs or the steep trail, I recommend the stairs up for the full effect of " hanging rock " and the trail back.

The summit is just wonderful, give it a crack. If my big butt can do it, anyone can.

Fairly easy walk approx 50mins round trip there are 2 paths. The walk up before you get to the rock parts is probably the hardest if you are not hike fit as it's at a steep incline. But the views are worth it

Both walking path and stairs are available. Almost missed the “hanging rock”! There was a sign that says “hanging rock” on the stairs trail. If you choose the walking path then you probably will miss this rock. There are many huge rocks at the summit and the view was nice up there. Nice place for a short outing for the kids.

A fantastic, if not strenuous, walk. Follow the path up to the rocks. You can either take the stairs half way up or continue on the ramp, which is quite steep but sealed. We found the stairs easier. The stairs take you to "the Hanging Rock". Fantastic views and rock formations that you can wander through once the path ends. It's hard to get lost as there are little blue arrows showing the way. And no, we didn't find Miranda. Just remember, it will cost you $10 to get out of the carpark.

If your fairly fit this is an easy trail.
For less fit people I would recommend regular stopping to take in the awesome views, and maybe take the ramp up and the stairs down.
There are fantastic views from all sides around the summit. Well worth a visit.

This is an amazing experience. The views from the top are good. A way to the summit is a bit difficult due to elevation. They have stairs as well as wheelchair or pram accessible way up to a point. The last stretch (100-200 metres) has to be completed by climbing and using stairs.

Parking down the hill is big. The cafeteria offers limited though decent food. The cafe closes at 4 so plan accordingly. Toilets are available at parking and near cafe

The Hanging Rock Market is only on a few times a year but it's lovely on a beautiful back drop and an enjoyable day for anyone. Was a stallholder for Loveclay Design. Oh! There's Kangaroo poop everywhere, being suitable shoes or a rake 🥴

Such a beautiful experience ❤ the walk takes you through the rock which are ages old and if you read through the history then you appreciate the walk more. There are also beautiful places for having a picnic before starting the walk to the summit and it has many places of interest on the walk mainly the hanging Rock, the chapel and lookouts. We couldn't find some of the places pointed on the flyer though. I would recommend going there in summer as I assume it would be slippery during the rainy season and definitely wear shoes with a good grip.

Great location for a day trip. 3 tracks available to take. Most people take the summit track. Track isn't hard, but there are a couple of steep sections. Cafe located in carpark area. There are plenty of toilets around. Small charge for entry. $10 for a car. Great views, so pick a clear day.

Easily accessible from the highway. Very well maintained place. Easy walk and doesn't require you to be super fit. Just stay on the tracks and you should be fine. Beautiful views from the top. Well maintained picnic area and plenty of tables and benches.

Think back to an old flame - gorgeous and mysterious. For an inactive volcano, Hanging Rock does a pretty good job of it. You won't find your old flame here, things seem to have a habit of going missing in these parts. You will however, find rocks - pointy ones, flat ones, standing ones, hanging ones. Interspersed betwixed their jagged edges are ferns, gum trees, moss and a few cheeky kookaburras laughing at you catching your breath on the ascent. I'm sure they mean well.
Views abound all around, so make sure to stop and take it all in.

Worth the walk, if you're up to it. It does get steep in places. I'm nearly 60 with bung knees, but I made it, albeit with a lot of puffing. I went up the ramp, and down the stairs.

It is a testing walk to get to the top for older people, but well worth the effort. We chose to walk up the path rather than the steps and came down via the steps.

Spectacular views from the summit. An easy to difficult incline to the top. There's plenty of rest areas/photo opportunities along the way. We'll worth the walk. It took us about 2 hrs return with lots of time to take photos and chill.

Great for all. BBQ areas dotted around. Steep walk up but all tracks are tarmacked. The views are amazing 😍. Loads of kangaroos on the table land walk. Also some brightly coloured crimson Roselle. Lots of bathroom facilities around, gift shop and coffee

The pictures don't really do justice. I'd recommend you check out to venture out yourselves.
Beautiful views along the way.. and easy to get lost between the rocky paths, if you don't stick to the pathway. Bring along your friends when you are ready for an adventure.

I loved all the little bits of this hike.
