Hanging Rock Cafe

Stopped at the cafe after the summit walk, was very excited to see all of the vegan options!

Ordered the Vegan spicy tofu burger, Vegan pesto macadamia arancini balls, and the Vegan option with smokey tofu bites 'grilled haloumi salad'

Even my non vegan partner said the vegan food was delicious. Highly recommend and the servers were lovely.

Had their Salmon with Garden Salad, it was so good! The Salmon skin was so crispy, taste salad! Forgot to take a photo before hand, so can't show it here. Need to pay for the Chips as add-on, but was enough for one person (female) with a soft drink, maybe add the chips for guys.

Great place for a wonderful meal, nice ambiance and fantastic service. Enjoyed a bottle of Hanging Rock wine (visited the winery after and love the JimJimThree) and great salads, sando, and burger. Highly recommend if in the area or hiking Hanging Rock.

Nice cafe right under The Hanging Rock. Good food, great staff. Entrance could be confusing. It is from the gift shop. Would love to see a few more vegan options in the menu but they did have some so we were happy. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Was so peaceful!

Amazing food with great local wine list and such friendly, helpful staff. I love it so much I'm having my wedding here! I couldn't ask for a more supportive team to work with even through Covid rescheduling. Highly recommend the pulled pork and zucchini fritters!

Great Cafe to spot either before or after the walk to Hanging Rock summit. Friendly staff and nice ambiance.

Came here over the weekend and the service was exceptional — especially from the Chef Matt. He came out to make sure everything was alright, and we made sure to tell him his cauliflower soup was definitely one of the best soups I’ve had in my life. Thank you for your amazing service and for going above and beyond!

Hanging Rock always a great place to visit, friendly staff at the cafe although over priced burger at $30 bland and tasteless, iced coffee was good, best to take a picnic 😂😜

Although there was a delay on service today, they were clearly understaffed due to the passing Easter period, and staff worked hard to deliver! My family enjoyed a lovely afternoon sitting at an outdoor table today and we have a few points of praise:
- The staff were swept off their feet today but made sure to check on every table, communicate order status and reassure us that everything was on its way
- the Mega Shake was huge! (Good for 2)
- the sweetest team, everyone was so sincere and friendly
- food was delicious and worth the wait (Kransky pictured)

I definitely urge anyone coming down to have patience and understanding during peak times, the team is clearly doing their best!

Stopped in after our walk. Had an amazing fritter. We were not expecting such a great meals.

good lactose free flat white. i also bought an interesting book called the silent faces of hanging rock at the gift shop there. i heard that there were some students got missing there but i am not sure if it’s true.

Great reward after all the walking! So walk hard haha 😂 then pounce on a burger 🍔. Chips are really tasty and good size burger. We shared. So relaxing with a lawn view and very friendly service.

Love my tasty marinated honey soy chicken burger. Good service. And we only waited 10 minutes, and it was pretty busy because of school holidays.

Great service , lovely view. Especially great after a climb, sit back and have a coffee. The food is great was not expecting the level of quality, but as they say don't judge a book by it's cover. 😊

I recently visited this cafe and was blown away by the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the friendly business owner and the staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and made to feel right at home.

The cafe was beautifully decorated, with a cozy and inviting vibe perfect for relaxing and catching up with friends. The menu was also fantastic, with various delicious and freshly prepared dishes.

But what stood out to me was the excellent customer service. They went out of their way to ensure every guest was well taken care of and we chatted with them.

Overall, I had an incredible experience at the Hanging Rock cafe. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly and welcoming spot to enjoy a meal or coffee. The business owner's touch made all the difference and I can't wait to visit again soon!

Great food. Friendly staff and a beautiful setting.

Our Nordic walking group had a lovely experience at the caffe today.
We were seated under tree canopy outside and never being served quicker anywhere else as a group.
Food : fresh, tasty , generous portions and fair price.
It was a great spot to refuel after we walked to the summit and back.

Visited here today on Valentine’s Day with my literature class (because we’re studying Picnic at Hanging Rock) and was in LOVE with my meal. I had the Rock Burger, which I paid $25 for and trust me, absolutely worth it, real good chips too. Kind service and nice staff, tasty food would recommend and hopefully visit again.
