Mungarra Reserve

A quiet and hidden gem in Petrie. It's a great location for a walk with the dogs or on your own. The Petrie ParkRun also goes along the paths through the reserve. Great for photo opportunities when the lighting is right, and a place good for the soul.

A nice, quiet semi rural local place to stretch your legs & explore. The air is fresh, insects never too vicious, thanks to the plentiful bearded dragons in residence. Open areas to get peace of mind, beautiful ponds & gardens. Used by many to walk dogs, ride bikes & get kids out for the day. Sometimes lively but never busy or crowded. Toilets far between, so use the conveniences at Sweeney Reserve or the one by the gate as you enter. Enjoy

Absolutely beautiful park to explore. Lots of wild life & beautiful trees. Feels like a maze with all the different directions you could choose to walk in. I'll definitely be a regular walker here 🤩

Fantastic little skatepark. Flows so well. Good quality concrete. Great for beginners and more advanced.

Quarter pipe. Very low manual box (ideal for learning ollies). Flat ramp for speed. Fun little box in the middle. Thick rail, that can be rolled into.

Family friendly happy place. I love the new signs and walkways with the animals etched in for kids to point out. We always have a peaceful and lovely time here. The water always looks so beautiful and the ducks are super happy.

I just LOVE how close this is to my house in Petrie! I love how peaceful it is.. PERFECT for a refreshing walk. Great for all ages. Super pristine nature that practically glows in the sunlight. Look out for a few of the naughty dogs and nice bikers that might show up :)

Nice place for a walk along the path which follows into Sweeney Reserve.
Dog off leash area, basketball hoops /court, skate Park and a playground and toilet off Affleck entrance.

Always wanted to go here as a child and finally did with the pups. Great walk along the creek, little risky crossing the road but worth the adventure

Beautiful walks and park lands with sweeping grassed areas. Nice playground and picnic area with access to electric bbqs.

Beautiful and relaxing place. I love walking my dog here!! I wouldn't let him swim though as I've seen a few sharks recently.

Fantastic open park and playground area for all ages. Walking paths for walking or riding with a link to Sweeney Reserve and all surrounding streets. Picnic tables and BBQs for eating, heaps of parking along the entrance road. Heaps of open grass area with goals for all sports in the large field. Small skate park area with a vertical ramp and some grinding rails. Great spot for the family, bring your bikes, bring your football, enjoy the space.

Wonderful place for a quiet wander or a brisk walk. Extensive walking paths, plenty of bird species a couple of ponds and a river runs through it

My local walking track, great scenery, well shaded, plenty of bins, toilets, doggy bags etc.. well looked after

The grass had just been mowed and looked beautiful today. The park is so much fun for kids can get quite hot in Summer. So many birds to watch. There is beautiful walks. Two Dams is beautiful still. Council were there cleaning bbq facilities today

Absolutely great place to go for a walk with or without dogs. Enclosed dog park, water drinking station near dog park for humans and dogs, skatebowl, playground. Concrete paths. Nice lake... Part of Northpine river with lots of water birds. Many trees so a lot of bird calls, which is lovely while walking through the area. There is a toilet... Just before you go through the gated entrance to the park, it's on the right hand side of the road. It has been tastefully painted so it blends in, this is why a few people have said there are no toilets...easily missed. Well worth a visit.

Love this place. Got everything for everyone. Different ball sports arenas i.e. football, rugby, AFL, basketball, netball, volleyball fields

Great place for walking, running, biking or for dog walks.

Also has toileta and BBQ facilities

Glad we found this hidden treasure. A must visit if you want to entertain your kids.
