Sunset Bay Escape

Loved our stay at Sunset Bay Escape. Such an amazing place and beautiful location.
Loved waking up to the scenic views.

Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Lots of space for a small family or couples. Location was central, short stroll to general store and local pub.

Just returned from 3 nights at Sunset Bay Escape. What a beautiful place. Amazing views from the deck which is the length of the house, beautiful bathrooms, and bedrooms (3) large open plan livingroom, a kitchen a chef would be happy with. Even had our own white wallaby visit each day.
Had beautiful walks along the nearby beach, 5 min. walk to the Hotel. A truly beautiful escape. Thanks Mark and Jen

We visited 21 September to 24 September my first time on Bruny Island.
I enjoyed the ferry over, was told to stop and taste cheese and beer at the cheese place and then straight to our accommodation. To my complete surprise the place was better than the photos. That night walked to the hotel for a first rate meal and beer. Next day lunch at the winery and trip to adventure bay. Next time I am going on the fast boat experience at the bay. Last day oysters for lunch at the oyster place and dinner on the exceptional sunset bay escapes deck. Accomodation was great and the kitchen very good to cook our feast. Stayed at Sunset Bay Escape earlier this month. Magnificent property with everything you would need at hand. State of the art kitchen beautiful fire at night, wi fi, every bedroom has its own bathroom which made it very private and of course the stunning views over Bruny Island waters and not to forget just a short stroll to Bruny Hotel which has beautiful fresh food and beverages. An extremely memorable experience. Will be back

Great location! Even better view! All the amenities where in excellent condition. Amazing place to stay for families and friends alike. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

Spent an amazing week at sunset bay escape... enjoyed the beautiful views ... the morning visits from the swift parrots that I could actually hand feed ...the local sights and cuisine was amazing ... until next time

IMPRESSIVE - beauty everywhere. Location was so convenient to visit different venues and simply absorb Bruny Island

An adventure, maybe. An escape? I wouldn't go that far. I wish I could escape my life and move here forever. This place is heavenly and the Crumpets and lava bread was to die for.

Did not provide access details until 3 hours prior to check-in and following multiple attempts to contact. When arrived at accomodation it had not been cleaned. Again attempted to contact with no response. Cleaners arrived 2 hours later to change bedding with no explanation after we had already begun tidying and washing sheets. The accomodation is suitable for large groups with 3 bathrooms and is dog friendly but no fencing. Reverse cycle air-conditioning not working and generator went off overnight. Minimal lounge seating for larger groups. Views are beautiful but overlooking a road and very close to the pub. Overall not a relaxing experience, overpriced, poor communication, and underwhelming.

We stayed here in February 2020. If you are expecting luxury forget it. The furniture is old and tired with tears in the outdoor furniture and seating around the tv for 4 people but sleeps up to 8. Dining table also only seats 6 and as we had 8 adults was not great. We were planning on having a bbq one night only to find the bbq was so filthy we would could not use it. Every second plate had a chip in it and most dishes had to be washed before you could use them. There were no dishcloths in the house so had to contact owner so we could wash up and clean down benches. Beds were comfy apart from two roll out beds that were like camping stretchers and not comfortable. If you are expecting luxury as their website suggests look elsewhere.
