Wylah Cottage Bruny Island

Fabulous character cottage full of Hygge in a spectacular location. Suhela is a wonderfully friendly inviting host. We truly didn't want to leave it was so relaxing. Bruny's remoteness and stunning night skies are definitely worth an overnight stay.

Wylah Cottage is set in a lovely spot on Bruny, home to many friendly wallabies and local wildlife. short drive from the Neck Lookout and Cape Queen Elizabeth Track (which is really really beautiful. Go at low tide to make the most of it). also go check out the coastline around the nature reserve with the kayaks provided.

The cottage is charming and comfortable, with a choice of warm spots to sit and read: the fireplace, or the sun room, facing North and East to get the morning sun.

Suhela is a lovely host and will make sure you are comfy and entertained. bonus points if you bring a bottle of local mead to share ;)

Our family of four loved our stay at Wylah Cottage; a peaceful, naturelover’s haven, with plenty of rustic character and heart.
Suhela has thoughtfully provided all you’ll need at her well-equipped cottage; a Bruny coastal shack lovingly restored and full of interesting coastal artworks and treasures. Wylah is centrally located, so you can easily access both north and south of the island and all its offerings, yet hidden away from the crowds. Enjoy lovely vistas from the verandah or sunroom, and the gardens and trees alive with birdsong. Resident wildlife abounds, including wallabies, and even the rare swift parrots stop by!
If you’re after hotel style accommodation, this probably isn’t for you; there are some old quirks at Wylah… but, if you’re after cottage charm, peace and space to unwind, a beautiful location - and a wonderful host - then Wylah Cottage is a rare gem waiting for you.
