Bringenbrong Bridge

Stop at the rest stop right along the river and admire the moving sculpture that is the giant silver yabbie! You can make it's claws move by pulling on the levers! But of fun. This is the stop right before you enter back into Victoria from NSW as we did when we visited Kosciuszko NP. No facilities though but interesting information on placards about the river system and the first settlers in the area.

Bringenbrong Bridge crosses over to NSW from VIC and vice versa. It spans the Murray River along the Alpine Road.

From Victoria travelling over the bridge towards NSW, there is a scenic picnic area to the left just after the bridge. You can stop there to have a look at the River and visit the giant Crayfish Sculpture for pics 🦞

It was flooded when I was there and the river had flooded parts of the surrounding area.

Good roadside stop with Cray sculpture and several information boards.
The ground is still wet after recent floods followed by more rain.

Flooded in late Nov . Lots of info signage , Picnic tables . Fishing and swimming.

Nice place for a picnic, plenty of shade, great to watch the river flow by, very relaxing

Don't go too far in when wet or you will get stuck.

The entrance is very muddy due to water trucks getting water from the Murray. There is no defined parking and the track just goes to a field. There are a few picnic tables and a large crayfish. Water access is poor but for one point where the boats are being launched from. Not much here unless you are starting you Murray paddle.
