G&C Mutual Bank

I've had a great experience working with G&C Mutual bank. Not only do they offer some of the best interest rates, you also get great customer support. It feels like you have a personal banker for everything you need. Julie Freenan has supported us through multiple loans and loan changes and she is always willing to help. I'm so glad I'm not dealing with one of the big banks where I'm just a number and always have to speak to someone different in a call centre.

I can not recommend G&C highly enough! We applied for a home loan and were pre-approved within a very reasonable time frame. We initially started to apply through one of the big 4, but changed course after a phone call with Teresa from the Home Loans team. We secured a great rate, and were always kept informed of the progress of our application. The customer service provided by Teresa and the G&C team was of an extremely high standard and I can not thank them enough. Being a small lender they provide a personal touch. What G&C lacks in branch locations it makes up for in exceptional service and competitive rates.

Excellent little credit union, low fees, sensible advice. One star off just because they only have one branch and it's on the city, but I've been able to do business on line and on the phone very well. Bottom line is they are not predatory, which is rare with banks these days.

Poor understanding! We are paying off a loan and missed a few payments because of out of work temporarily and they defaulted my husband even though we started paying them each fortnightly! Cold hearted people in times like this current climate and I’d advise to stay away beware !!

Have been with G'n'C mutial for about 15 years since it was called SGE Credit union as a secondary bank. Have just moved all my savings and credit accounts, loans etc to have them as my primary now fealing I've regretfully made a big mistake. Cards and app seems to be most unreliable at the best of times but whats far worse is the customer service. When i have called up to sort/fix problems the bankers seem to be of no help and palm off problems as fault of others, become frustrated with customers over the phone being extremely dificult to deal with. And if you ask to make a complaint they dont put it through so if you refer to previouse complaint in regards to curent situation there is no record of it.
Have never had such ammature problems with a bank before. The short of it is customer service seem to be the opposite of 'people persons'
I exprect far better.

They freeze your access to credit for mere oversights of a few days of forgetting a small repayment. They will cause you grief. Don't use this bank for credit. They a awful

Waste of time with their loan team. Very slow and unreasonable process.
