Australian Rainbow Trout Farm

Incredible place to go with your partner and family ❤ we had such a blast here as there were many different ponds to fish from and we were able to catch both a salmon and a trout. Tip is to make sure you bring a nice portable gas stove along, seasoning, utensils and your own drinks. It is a good educational place to take kids too for them to learn how fishing works and the process from the catch to the plate.

We were really impressed by the professional level of customer service when our group visited this fish farm on Saturday. But a tip on fishing technique, the fish stop biting after being fed all day, the salmon & trout become Very fussy, and not hungry.

My family had a wonderful time here. Heaps of tables and bbqs, staff are friendly and chooks/turkeys roaming around :-). The "challenge" lake lets you feel 'real' fishing. After 30mins of not catching anything (lol), we headed out to the fish ponds to catch fish cause it was getting to lunch time. Less than 5 mins, my son caught a 1.2kg trout. Had it cleaned for free and we bbq'd the fish and some veggies. Lunch was awesome, nothing like eating fresh fish with family outdoors. Highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again.

Great place for family gathering. Plenty of fish to catch and very helpful staff - if you can't catch one, let them know and they'll help you get one. There are also lots of BBQ grills for you to chuck your catch on for a feed!

Could not have asked for a better experience for my 9 year old. Watching him be patient and to then see the excitement on his face when he finally caught his first ever fish was well worth the price! The staff (mainly dealt with Rob) was amazing. So friendly and took the time to explain certain things etc. Was a lovely day.

Great experience for those who have never fished before and want something simply and easy. Catch your own trout and salmon. Fish seem good size. Get to cook them fresh using the many potable bbqs. A small playground in the BBQ area for kids, and also chicken coop. Overall just a great place to visit for half a days experience.

Staffs are friendly, toilets are clean, has a picnic area with barbecue and playground and has different levels of pond to fish. We had fun in this place definitely worth visiting.

Fantastic Morning with the boys and Nana. Felt like visiting a friends house... beautiful surroundings with sounds from the animals and welcoming staff.

Really enjoy the experience, introducing the boys to fishing and even catching! Whopping 2kg Rainbow trout which tasted delicious.

Rob was brilliant 👏 with the 1000 or so questions feom the intrigued youngsters..

I love this place, I came here a-lot and its great every time. Very nostalgic as I came here when I was young. Even the forest road coming here is amazing!

Fun, wholesome day out with the family. I suggest getting in early. It does it quite packed.

An amazing way to introduce fishing to kids. Very well maintained. Heaps of BBQ available, plenty of space for kids to run around, playground is a bit aged but still in good and safe condition. The ponds are separated to varieties and weights. So if you prefer to catch a smaller/larger fish those options are readily available. Service was friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to return. Very enjoyable experience.

Great place for fishing. Fish sizes starts from 400gm. You must buy the fish you catch. Free basic cleaning is available. Lots of bbq stoves available with covered shelter. You can bring your own mat or umbrella to have a picnic. Kids friendly and has a small playground.

Free entry if you don't do any of the activities. Friendly staff.

Plenty of space. Dozens of covered tables with individual gas BBQs. Easy to catch with no experience needed. Everything is provided. If you want a more challenging game then there is a big lake. Friendly staff is always ready to help. You have to pay for everything you catch per kg and that is a bit expensive (supermarket prices).

A beautiful spot with very friendly, helpful staff. Facilities are very rustic, it’s not flashy, but we really enjoyed the two hours we spent there and the kids loved the experience. The only downside is how much it cost us because we didn’t want to stop! We will come again.

Such a great place to hang out with your friends and family, catch your own fish, get it cut and cleaned (if needed) and cook. All equipment including fishing rods, bait, bucket and gas-powered BBQ are provided by the super-friendly staff. You are also allowed to bring charcoal BBQ but you are responsible for dousing it afterwards and carefully placing the ash etc. in a secure bag before putting it in trash. They are very careful about COVID too, and hand sanitiser as well as sunscreen is placed in several places. They also have a small shop where you can buy snacks, sauces, ice etc. A playground for kids and a small private zoo for entertainment. All-in-all this is a great package and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Make sure you arrive early to grab a good spot 😉

Wonderful family picnic. Kids really enjoyed fishing. Got 3 trout in 10 minutes. Lots of BBQ areas and fun stuff for kids. We would highly recommend this place as a day out picnic spot.

Highly recommend if going with family, nice place to enjoy for a day trip. Kids will enjoy a lot as they will land fish real quick.

Please be aware, you can't catch and release 😅 You buy what you catch 🪝

P.S - They charge you $4 to clean per fish.

Best experience ever! We went on the difficult one we only waited 20 minutes to catch a rainbow trout. Then we went to easy spot where the kids quickly caught a 1 kilo salmon. We end up with a rainbow trout and salmon. Was so yummmmmm

We went on a Monday which was very quiet. The staff were restocking their main fishing dams and were very knowledgeable and very informative and helpful. My father in law is Japanese and doesn’t speak any English, they were very kind and helpful. They filitted our catch and also prepared the best fish for sashimi which was cut to perfection and the Golden Trout was absolutely delicious as fresh sashimi. This place is amazing
