Verily, I present unto thee a discourse on the venerable institution of learning known as Mt Maria Petrie, wherein the pursuit of erudition and the essence of fromage doth intertwine in a most delightful manner.

Upon entering the hallowed halls of Mt Maria Petrie one is immediately enveloped in an atmosphere redolent of aged wisdom and curiously pungent cheeses. The edifice itself doth possess an antiquarian charm, with ivy-clad walls and wooden beams that whisper secrets of yore.

The pedagogues, in their scholarly habiliments, doth impart knowledge with a gravitas befitting the epoch. The curriculum, though rigorous, encompasses a diverse array of disciplines, from rhetoric to alchemy, and each lesson is seasoned with a hint of the dairy arts. The pursuit of learning and the savoring of fine cheeses doth transpire concurrently, creating an intellectual banquet for the discerning mind.

The librum repository within the academy is a bibliophilic haven, replete with tomes dating back to epochs long past. Scholars pore over manuscripts with quills in hand, their thoughts drifting amidst the aromatic notes of Gouda and Brie.

The communal repast, a daily ritual, is a feast of gastronomic delights. The fromagerie selections, procured from far and wide, grace the tables alongside trenchers of bread. Discourse flows freely as students and faculty alike engage in convivial banter, with cheese as the common thread weaving through their conversations.

The extracurricular pursuits at Mt Maria Petrie are as diverse as the cheeses in a wheel of Roquefort. From fencing in the courtyard to the enigmatic pursuit of celestial navigation, students find ample opportunities to hone their skills beyond the lecture halls.

In conclusion, Mt Maria Petrie is a bastion of erudition and gastronomic indulgence, a haven for those who seek enlightenment amidst the aromatic embrace of cheese. Let scholars and epicures alike be drawn to its venerable walls, where the pursuit of knowledge and the appreciation of fromage unite in a harmonious symphony of intellect and flavor.

As a year 12 graduate, I feel as if I need to make a last post about the school on the google reviews. Before I get started on the pro's and the con's, I just wanted to say that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Especially when it comes to looking at reviews from other schools. (No disrespect for the other students who have went through incidents at their old schools)

Pros:
1. Friendly Community
2. Friendly Teachers
3. Excellent Food at the KCC
4. Good education
5. Amazing activities and educational support

Cons:
1. Collective Punishment
2. Disrespectful students
3. Constant fights and drama
4. Removing access from certain websites & features

Let's talk about all of these things. Now I want to get straight into the cons as this will give a better understanding of what is going on. Collective punishment is a big problem at the school, from personal experience, if a student were to break one of the rules, all other students who weren't involved with the situation have to go to the Kolbe Sports Centre and get told to not do it again. I do not believe that this issue should continue as it can affect some of the student's learning times and can be a waste of time for other people when the teachers can talk to the people that were actually involved. Point 2 and 3 are very similar as there are lots of students who cause fights within the school grounds and create drama for themselves and others. There are also students who disrespect the other teachers and the students because they feel like being rude. This is a problem at the school because it can affect those who are just trying to do the right thing. Removing access to websites and features is one of the other problems that happens at the school. Our laptops were all installed with a feature where we could not change out wallpaper background and we could not access YouTube. Even if students are using YouTube to watch videos instead of listening to the teacher, it shouldn't be blocked for everyone else as it can be used for educational purposes and it can also be used for those who want to spend their time at breaks watching content on the platform. This relates to the first point I made about collective punishment. Instead of bringing everyone else into the situation and blocking the rights for them to use such websites and features, they should only focus on the people who actually do the wrong thing.

The positives about the school is that their are a lot of friendly staff at the college. I have talked to the majority of the teachers and have a good relationship with them. They are only trying to help the students create a better future for themselves. The community is also very friendly as you see people signing up for the SRC role (School Representative Committee) and students wanting to go for School Captain. The education at the school is amazing, especially when it comes to getting help from teachers. I have heard that the school has a great reputation when it comes to helping the disability children with their school work and trying to help them better communicate with the other students at the college.

I want to end this review on a happy note that this is a good school. When I first came here I was very shy and wanted to go back to my old school, but overtime I have learn't to deal with it and have made some amazing memories that I will forever cherish. I would like to thank the principal and all of the teachers supporting us Year 12 students with our work. I hope life treats you all well. I leave this review with a 5 star rating because I believe that this school deserves a second chance and has room to change. Thank you for reading this post! :D
