Kalbar Showgrounds

A nice place to rest and take time. Close to the town shops to have a coffee or lunch.

Good for a weekend our camping 1 or 2 nights. In April Sunflower Festival in the area, which I love to explore.

Great little place to spend some time away in your van or motorhome. Walk to town. Would not recommend the pub for meals. Caretakers were great and friendly.

Really enjoyed staying here. Peaceful and quiet at night, with good bathroom facilities. Short walk into the little village with a few lovely shops. Great walks in the surrounding national parks.

What a great place to stay! Robyn and I took our little van there recently.
Lovely rural setting, facilities (showers, toilets) basic but clean and handy. The caretakers Rod and Marja were very helpful and pleasant.

There is a great Coffee shop close by 'Lovett' what more do you need!

Very clean, cheap and friendly place to stay.

2 minute walk to pub, bakery and speciality stores. 6 minute walk to butchers, their rib fillet is amazing and their pork sausages.

Quiet, clean, and walking distance to village. Very pretty location with power and water. Well maintained toilet and shower facilities. Close to Bank, pub, hairdresser, and yummy bakery.

Friendly town - very reasonable prices for powered camping at Showground. A real community atmosphere - quiet - well off the highway.

Booked 5 Caravans in for a get-together over the weekend. The caretakers were friendly. Calling into and saying gidday and having a chat. Bathrooms were very clean. Shirt walk to the pub as well.

What nice people.
Just pulled in there to use the dump point. Would like to go and stay a night and have the bbq smokehouse food around the corner. Looks amazing.

Attended the swap meet Sunday 17 October 2021. A wonderful beautiful sunny delightful morning at the Kalbar show grounds. The shows function as a campground. Good facilities and a large flat open area with lots of parking. There were many interesting stalls for the swap meet. Thankyou to the many people that organised this very popular event. Kalbar is a great place to visit with spectacular mountain views.

Great facilities on the edge of town

Located within walking distance to the town. Van sites were good and toilet and showers were clean and tidy. Very peaceful and quiet. Powered site $20, u powered $15 great value.

Stayed overnight toilets and showers were clean..went to swap meet and car show the next day

Just spent 7 nights here in our van. Nice large grassed sites with power, water, hot showers and a dump point. Caretakers, Russ & Sandra take pride in maintaining and presenting a clean well managed campground. Kalbar is a great base to explore and enjoy the Scenic Rim. The town has a great bakery and hotel, is only 10klm from the service town of Boonah. The surrounding district has numerous mountains, waterfalls and lookouts. There are also two lakes and constant mountain-scape panoramas.

Great little place to stay. Clean facilities. Don't forget to book. Town has so much to offer
