Horseshoe Bay Water Sports Fishing Charters

What an amazing afternoon!! My wife and I were lucky enough to go out with Dom and experience fishing in this stunning part of the world. We caught big fish, saw amazing scenery and had the time of our lives! We'll definitely be back! Can't recommend Dom and Magnetic Island Fishing Charters highly enough. Definitely the best part of our trip to North Queensland. Do yourself a favour and book with Dom, you won't be disappointed!

We did a full day fishing charter with Dom and could not be happier with the experience. Despite non ideal tide conditions Dom made sure to take us to all the best spots so we could catch some great fish. Not only did we catch some great fighters but we caught a good amount as well. We could not be more happy with the results, it was my first time ocean fishing, and first time fishing in Australia in general and I can honestly say it was one of my best life experiences. Dom was very professional and friendly. He had a wealth of knowledge regarding fish and Magnetic Island in general. Both my partner and I were incredibly impressed and happy with the day. We cannot wait to eventually visit Maggie Island again and do another fishing trip with Dom. Thanks again Dom!

Amazing day out with Horseshoe Bay Fishing Charters. Dom was the consummate professional. Took us to some great spots - not only incredible fishing but great scenery also. Dolphins, sharks - the works. Made my 11 yo nephew Sam a very happy young man - and that made it super special for me. Highly recommend.

Spent my birthday with friends out fishing with Dom this morning. Not many biting but had the best time catching my first decent size fish. Thanks Dom, will definetly book again on our next holiday.

We had an incredible day out with Dom on the water! He gives so much information about the island and it’s wildlife and of course the fishing. We caught some beautiful spotted mackerel and he cleaned it for us and instructed us on how to cook it on the BBQ - so this trip basically also includes a sunset fish fry on Horseshoe Bay. My partner and I loved having the boat to ourselves on his private fishing charter, and we saw not only fish but also sharks, dolphins, and seabirds. Could not recommend Dom more highly - we cannot wait to come back!

Awesome day out on the water with Dom. We couldn’t highly recommend this charter enough, caught 12 Spanish mackerel, getting our bag and safely releasing the rest. Unbelievable tasting fish and will be definitely back next time. Cheers for the great time mate!!

We had such a good time. Just the three of us on a boat meant we had it to ourselves! Dom was honest, kind, friendly and did everything for my partner and I while we got to reel in a couple nice mackerel each. And celebrated them with us! Once the fishing was over, we got off the boat, walked across the road to our accomodation and threw one whole on the BBQ, where can ya do that!!! Highly recommend if your looking for a genuine experience on Maggie

Highly recommend this fishing charter. Dom is highly professional and easy going. He is organised and responsible. His boat is immaculately kept. He knows his stuff and felt very safe at all times. We caught 3 spotted Makerel and our family would most definitely be doing another tour with him on our next trip to Maggie island.

100% recommend. One of the best activities we did whilst visiting the island. Dom was very friendly, and very knowledgable about the area and the fish. Felt safe the entire time, and loads of fun!

Thanks dom for the fantastic day had a absolutely ball was one of my favourite sessions I’ve ever had out chasing pelagic fish we ended up with 12 mackerel and lost 4 for the day was a great charter would highly recommend.
Can’t thank dom enough for the experience and all the local knowledge he used to get us on the fish .

My 11 year old has recently become interested in fishing, so I booked a half day out on the water. We both loved our experience around Horseshoe Bay and over to Radical. There was plenty of action that included some challenging fishing we won't forget. Thanks to the Skipper for his technical tips and local knowledge.

Great morning fishing with Dom. Conditions were not perfect for the fish, but we managed to find a good mackerel and Don’s knowledge and company were first class.

Had an incredible few hours out on the bay with Dom from Horseshoe bay fishing charters. Boat was modern and comfortable with all top quality gear supplied. I’ve been on other charters where the tackle is old and worn out but this gear was virtually new and worked a treat. After the safety briefing we headed off to a few of the local favourite spots. Fishing was incredible with a total of 9 different species caught and after putting a few in the esky we headed back to the ramp. Dom the skipper was fantastic and In the tricky conditions made sure we got on too good fish. He definitely went the extra mile and stayed out a bit longer than we’d booked him for so we could get the fish we really wanted - coral trout. Would definitely recommend Horseshoe Bay Fishing Charters and can’t wait to head out with them again next time we’re on Magnetic island.
