Marlin Bar

After watching the sun set we thought we'd have a drink. We then got talking to a local and they said there was a new chef.

GG had sand crab ravioli. Big chunks of fresh crab. Brilliant.

I had the seafood lasagne... prawns, scallops, calamari AND a big serving. Unbelievable. 10 out of 10 for taste.

We ate here twice during our stay and shared a variety of amazing dishes. We had the fish of the day special over the salad, the pie of the day which was lamb pie, Sunday roast (chicken and beef while we were there), and a vegetarian pizza. All of the meals were amazing and a good size. The chicken roast was the only part we didn’t live but the beef was great and all of the goodies that came with it. They also have phenomenal happy hour jug and schooner prices! Staff was all friendly and nice. The setup/vibe was also cool with good both indoor and outdoor seating. Right across from the beach. Only suggestion I would have is to either get higher chairs or lower tables for the outside. It was an awkwardly large gap to eat at those tables outside in the low chairs.

Always love stopping in at Marlins for a beer with a view when I’m at Horseshoe Bay. Pretty simple menu but it will hit the spot and love sitting up at the bar window to enjoy my meal. Pretty standard beer available on tap but the cocktail list will not disappoint! Also features an adjoining liquor shop.

It's classy. so comfortable resto bar I've always love to visit it's not because I love pizza. it's because of the ambience there make you feel better & the relaxing moment was the sea breeze sounds so cool the refreshing wind from sea. The view was very nice.. I love the sunsets.

Overall a great location with some really good tasting food that was served in adequate portions, and also for a standard price, so nothing will break the bank here. I would suggest coming here for lunch or early dinner as the sunsets are unmissable and at times stunning. My favourite dish here would be the chicken parmigiana for lunch.

Great pub next to the beach! Food and grog are both excellent. A short 30 minute ferry ride from Townsville and a 15 minute bus trip from the ferry terminal on Magnetic Island to the other side of the island.

Great pub, located on one of the nicest beaches, on one of the nicest islands in Australia. Cold beer, great pub food, beaut locals. And Dickie G for conversation!

Friendly staff. Food came out quickly. Loved my meal. Your basic fish and chips! Would love to go again!

Beautiful setting overlooking the beach, friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere. Cold beers on tap and food was great. Burger and chips - Chips were Awesome!!!

Very friendly staff, we came very late at 8PM (sorry about that) but everyone was so polite and pleasant.

I had the seafood lasagna and it was just wonderful and the portion was quite large.

It's close to the beach and just next to the bus stop.

A nice pub with a great view. Definitly try some of their cocktail jugs during happy hour (16:00 - 18:00).

Was perfect for a reasonably priced decent bit of food after a long day around the island. Quick service

Had an incredible time here, the food was delicious and the portion sizes were large. Well worth it!!!
