Butterfly Forest

Quiet little walk in and he bush, no one else around other than butterflies, wallabies and birds.

A quiet spot off the road. It's one of the many nature spots around the island. There's a small road nearby leading to a semi official parking area. Given its rugged nature I'd be aware of being bitten by things hanging around in the undergrowth. To be honest it's totally overgrown - if not impenetrable. This place is probably good if you want to hide evidence. Check out the shipwreck in cockle bay if you have 4WD on the island - you should be able to walk to it during low tide. You should be able to see its outline on Google satellite view.
Update: the shipwreck should only be approached at low tide with footwear, keep an eye out for stonefish, stingrays and crocodiles. The area around the shipwreck has become much softer so you'll sink down more.

Super cool! You must come and see the 100’s of butterflies, you need to be quiet and still and you will see them everywhere

Entrance via dent street. Go just after the midday heat when the butterflies seem to really come to life! You might even spot a koala in the trees!

Saw c100 bats hanging in the trees!

ich ich hier in Horseshoe Bay war, bin ich auch mal durch den kleinen Butterfly Forest gelaufen. Liegt direkt hinter der Hauptraße und ist nur gut 500 Meter lang.
Ob es hier Schmetterlinge gibt, weiß ich nicht aber was fakt ist, hier gibt es eine sehr große Flughund Kolonie an in einem Baum.
Es ist hier sehr laut und direkt unter dem Baum sollte man nicht laufen. Die Flughunde lassen sich aber überhaupt nicht stören und so kann man sie auch gut beobachten.

Je n'ai vu aucun papillon, juste de grosses araignées et le chemin était un peu sale.
Je suppose que ça dépend des saisons

Leide kaum Schmetterlinge.
Der Weg war extrem zugewuchert. Überall spinnen.
