Island Point Reserve

Beautiful spot! 😍 Great amount of parking, of shade, toilets are easy to access and BBQs available 👌 Crabs were all just under size but the whole family had a ball! We will be back! 🦀

I highly recommend this place for outing. Its awesome beauty like island with natural scenario can attract anyone.
The presence of the pelicans and other birds may add extra beauty.

When the breeze is just right before sunset, and this place takes you away into a peaceful abis. If you like 🦀 crabbing, it is a well hidden gem. Believe it or not, it's great for lure fishing. But if you want to take your family 👪 or just yourself. It would be a perfect spot for fish n chips and a bit of 🎶. Love this place. Enjoy 😉

Great spot for the dog to swim and crab . Lots of parking and toilet to relieve yourselfs. Don’t forget to keep to your quota and sized crabs unless you want a hefty fine. Happy crabbing

Great place to spend a few hours with the grandkids crabbing.
The toilets on the other hand were absolutely disgusting and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages.
The shire needs to lift their game and do something about it.

If you say you love the calmness of nature or natural beauty, but never been at the Island Point reserve…. Then you should go there…

Never caught nor seen any crab unfortunately. Saw a bunch of pelicans instead. But absolutely loved the view and nature. Grateful to see such a beautiful sunset in the middle of the water lol Special moment of my life :)

Peaceful area with direct access to the estuary and a wonderful forest walk. Dog friendly on leads, bbq facilities, toilets and picnic area.

We visited here after visiting the Lake Clifton Thrombolites in the morning. Very secluded, we set up a picnic on some grass along the water. we had a view of a small island that looked like a breeding ground for pelicans. The seagulls don't bother you as well, which the children liked.

Quiet little picnic area surrounded beautiful scenery, birds, rays, and bbq and small ablution facilities.

A natural, pretty spot on the western shore of Harvey Estuary. Great for picnics, crabbing, photography, kayaking at (high tide?).

Had our first crabbing experience. It was amazing and great for kids too. Learning the techniques how to spot, scoop & measure them (legal crab size: very important). Shallow waters and plenty of crabs. Bring your proper gear and please keep the estuary clean and crabbing sustainable.
