Had a great overnight here with the fam. Many sites are shaded and all close to the water.
The crabs are relatively easy to catch, all you need is a crab scoop, a size gauge and something to put them in. The trouble is catching one of size. There's plenty of crabs out there, but as soon as they reach legal limit, they're scooped up.
Can't say anything from a boating perspective.

Love this place for a day out crabbing. Camp sites available and very cheap. Follow the fishing rules for crabbing and have a brilliant time. Fisheries officers are there regularly to check and help with crabbing.

Love coming to Herron Point for crabbing! Great for accessibility to more sides of the estuary 👌 Most crabs were undersized, but still a lot of fun 🦀 No shade around so remember your hats, sunnies and sunscreen.

Nice place for summer camping, fishing and crabbing. It is also a good place (away from artificial lights) near Perth city to view Aurora Australis.

Great place for crabbing 🦀 walking your dog 🐕 watching the star ⭐ toilet available 🚻 nice place to take pictures too. Remember when you use the bathroom 🚽 always clean up after . Do not leave your rubbish behind. Remember to wear coat 🧥 or jacket 🧥 when it’s winter or spring 🌼 because the weather can get chilling. If it summer you can wear shirt and short. I recommend you to visit in the summer 🌞 because you can camp at the camping area while hunting for the crabs 🦀 the sunset is also really beautiful and it’s really good to take pictures too.

One of the most beautiful camps and at $20 it's West Australia's most secret gem

Wonderful campground, Well maintained and well instructed. Beautiful views of the lake, birds and if you wake up early, you can even see dolphins playing! Great sunset, Majestic pelicans flying around. A lot of people came here for crab hunting..

Positive- stunning view of the lake. Heaps of shade, no shower but with toilet, camp kitchen, views, teeming with native birds, good for all those who do fishing

Dog friendly on leash.

Can be booked online,$9a head, book your site, it’s only a small site so book and choose where you like to stay. No power.

You check in with the care taker before you park.

Looks like someone got crazy and bought the whole woolies supply of loo rolls🤣

Negative- I was going to say shower but there’s a big inviting stunning body of water in front of you to swim and maybe catch dinner while swimming 😂

No wifi. Good tv reception tho.

Neat little campground. Basic amenities, flushing toilet and hand basin, but no shower facility. There is an area to wash dishes. Water is non potable. No power.

Mainly suited to Caravans, but there are a number of tent locations around the park. Caretaker has bags of firewood for sale.
Generators have to be off by 8pm.

Access to and from the beach is easy, especially if you are in a kayak.

Lovely little gem. Great place for crabs. Nice open camp ground. Gravel sites, a little grass for tents.

Absolutely the best campground to be relaxing at. It is very isolated and the weather is good. Crab hunting is exceptionally excellent. Drone take off is allowed, just watch out for people who have loud propellers. Fire is allowed, I don't know why but prices have gone higher recently. Tents is good and all that stuff.

Overall good place to be camping, one of the best to be relaxing for a day or two.
