Heera Indian Cuisine

Just wow! We are in town for a couple of nights and decided to eat at Heera tonight. I did not expect the food to be so amazing! Everything was perfection. And the family that owns the restaurant are just the loveliest people. If we ever come back to Charters Towers, this is the first place we will dine at.

This is was seriously some of the best Indian I’ve had. Was going to spend a second night eating at Rix but they had a private function - and I’m glad they did it meant I looked elsewhere.
The restaurant’s decor is simple and bland but in stark contrast the food is just superb. I had the Goan Fish and the Butter Chicken + a Kashmiri Naan. It was all so tasty. As I ate quite a number of locals came in and I think every one of them had the Goan Fish as a part of their order. That’s saying something I guess.
It’s BYO so grab a bottle - you won’t be disappointed.

We had a lovely vegetarian dinner for two. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Visiting from the Gold Coast. Kids were craving Indian. Meet by a polite young man who took out order. Beautiful butter chicken and an outstanding Indian Style Hot Chicken Korma. Very big serves. Couldn’t finish them until lunch. Brilliant.

It so easy to see why this gets the best reviews in town. Absolutely brilliant One of the best Indian meals we have ever had - so full of flavour. Our only problem is they have Tuesday off (everyone needs a day off) - we would have gone back rather than suffer what was the alternative.

We had dinner there last night, the food was probably the best Indian food we have had. the lady serving us was just lovely. We had the banquet for 2 people and at $39 each it was worth every cent!

I don't write reviews often but I'm visiting from Melbourne and was blown away from how good this food was. I would normally have to pay 2x as much to get the same quality down there.

Had the banquet for 2 with Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Korma, Lamb Rogan Josh, Dahl Makani and various entrees with naan and rice. All the curries were so good, meat was tender good level of heat for the spicy ones. The naan was fresh. Rice portion was good (I found in many restaurants in Melb they never give you enough) and nicely spiced. The portions in general were generous enough that we have plenty of leftovers!

Seriously charters towers y'all got lucky one of the few restaurants in town is this good quality! Staff were friendly too it seems to be family owned restaurant vibes which is cute. Hope to come back here when I visit again!

Fantastic food! Great authentic Indian food and great service. The meals had heaps of meat and it was really tender. Basic surroundings but clean and welcoming. Great value too!

Best curries and naan I have had in a long time - terrific, authentic Indian food!!

Generous serves - I always have enough left over to take to work for lunch the following day!

Very friendly and kind family run the business - great to often see the kids helping with taking orders and payments at the counter.

Palak Paneer is phenomenal ! impulsively writing this google review while halfway through eating it I’m loving it that much, definitely the place to eat if stopping through Charters Towers for a night :)

While we were on our way to Cape York we stopped at Heera’s Indian Cuisine and it was the best meal we’ve had in a while. Definitely try the mango lassi if you are here. Thank you Narayan and the family for a great dinner.

Ordered takeaway tonight. 1st time visiting Charters Towers and ordered a vegan chickpea curry and a mixed vege curry OMG the flavour was awesome. Its the best Indian food I've ever experienced. The two chefs (owners?) walked us through a tailored flavour and spice level. Very impressed. Thank you

In Charters Towers for one night and were looking for somewhere with vegetarian options. While it may look unassuming from the outside this place is seriously worth a visit. The owners were lovely, it's obviously popular with the locals and our meals were delicious. I'd go as far as saying my butter chicken was one of the best I've ever had! Will absolutely return if I'm ever in CT again.

I've been waiting for quite a while to give a genuine review for this restaurant as I feared I may be biassed I first ate this exquisite food many years ago at Mambai Darbar but because the owners were so genuine and beautiful I wasn't sure that it was because of that or the exceptional food they offered that made them my instant favourite.
Well, after many years and tasting many other yummy Indian restaurants, I can honestly say that no matter where I've been in our beautiful country, NOT ONE compares to Heera. A beautiful gem hidden in the gold country of Charters Towers - Do yourselves a flavour favour my friends and go food prospecting!

Come for a day trip and this restaurant surprises us on both flavour and service. Very yummy naan and curries, definitely be back on the next visit. Highly recommended. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

What a fantastic, delicious, absolutely wonderful restaurant we have here in Charters Towers. I've been here 2 years and never tried Heera before. Our food was amazingly delicious, the young man behind the counter was so professional, well done. We'll definitely be back!

we were on our way to another restaurant when we saw Heera, so we thought why not. We chose take away but the dine in seating was fresh and crisp in white and dark grey colours. we had Chicken tikka;- wonderful, Saag Gosh & Maliai Kofta a new one for me, not what I was expecting but the flavours Mmmm. all round very very enjoyable. look forward to our next visit to the Towers.
