Amazing views of the Port Stephens vista.
A beautiful day to help the less fortunate visitors at this Gan Gan hilltop site. My binoculars came in handy for some! Bless you all.

Fantastic lookout you just have to visit. You can see for miles down towards Newcastle. There are 2 viewing platforms so make sure you see both. Most people only look from one not realising there is another one the other side of the phone towers. Both offer the best views. Only a short drive up the mountain

This place will definitely blow your mind with serenity at it's best. You'll get to see desert, mountain, sea, river and greenery at the same time from here. It's one of the best places as well to watch sunset. Love this place. No matter how many times I visit this place, everytime it offers a relaxing environment.

A must visit, offers breathtaking bird view of Port Stephens. Limited parking at the end of the driveway (Bay FM towers). The drive, be careful and slow driving uphill/downhill due to limited paved surface and hairpin blind spot. Lily hill lookout is just on the other side of the parking lot, don’t be fooled by map ;-)

If you want to take sunset photos, this place is amazing. I arrived there at 5.10pm and walked though the small pathway next to electricity towers to the lookout. (There are two lookout points, the one at the parking area can not see sunset, has to walk though the small path. Don't get confused) :)

Lovely views, looks so much more beautiful in person than what the pictures show. Definetly should come and check it out if you’re in the area!

Awesome look out over the whole regional area. Came here with Aboriginal guides and the indigenous history of the place is amazing and humbling.

Two lookout platforms allow for great views, one North over Port Stephens, the other South over Tomaree National Park. The Gymea lilies add to the drama.
Parking can be a little challenging. An easy walk to the platforms.

Nice spot to sit and watch out for a few minutes. Get a bit tarnished by the phone towers up there.

Public lookout with brilliant long range views.

Parking atop the mountain. Hence Telstra Communication Towers. Port Stephens in the Second World War had a massive Australian and American Naval presents.

This vision / video ends with the South Head, Mount Tomaree. This Mountain had a massive Radar on top which each Christmas we would scramble up the Southern Face of "Radar Mountain". That was in the mid 1960's. I was 25 before I learnt that Radar Mountain was actually geographically called Tomaree Mountain.

Sand dunes abound. The golden fine Sands are smooth underfoot. The colour almost silver.

Compared to Hawkesbury Sand which is course to the feet.

Hawkesbury Sand enters the Pacific Ocean at Gosford. The Hawkesbury Sands then go South to the Royal National Park or North to Newcastle, Port Stephens and beyond going as far as Byron Bay, Australia's Mainland most Eastern Point.

This lookout is a must for any visitor to the bay.
I recomend that newcomers to the area do it early in their visit as it gives you a fabulous 360⁰ perspective of the whole of Port Stephens and beyond.
It will help you get your bearings and give you an understanding of the uniqueness of the area.
Easily accessible by car with a one minute, easy walk to the main lookout.
Enjoy!

Absolute Must go to spot. One of the best lookouts in NSW .

Leave your trailer or caravan at home before you drive up there though as it's a narrow road with a fairly small car park and not much room to manoeuvre particularly if there's already a few cars parked there.

Outstanding views over from the East , North and West over Port Stephens , North over Tea Gardens and Hawkes Nest and Eastward towards Tomaree Heads and Fingal Bay to the SE from the top lookout.

A good pair of binoculars and a Digital SLR camera with a Wide Angle Lens will be a definate asset to bring. The lower lookout near the carpark also provides sensational views to the South over Anna Bay and Stockton Beach .

If you can pick a nice sunny day early in the morning to get the best light .
