Platinum Dental Nelson Bay

I was fortunate enough to come across Dr Huw Morgan at another practice and have since followed him to Platinum Dental along with most of my friends. He was the first dentist that I actual could converse with which made me feel so comfortable. He is warm, caring and very interested in his patients. The rest of the staff are amazing and all seem to enjoy working at Platinum very much, one big happy family. Not that anyone loves going to the dentist but Dr Morgan definitely makes it a pleasure.

As a total dental phobic, my appointments at Platinum Dental in Nelson Bay have been nothing short of life changing!
Not only have I received excellent and thorough treatment but my fears and anxieties were understood. Dr Huw Morgan has put to rest my fear of dentists and I would recommend him to anybody who has similar fears to step out and make that appointment you have been putting off, you won’t regret it.

Hue is very professional but also very approachable. He instantly makes you feel at ease in an environment that is not always your most desired place to be
…. who likes going to the dentist!! He communicates and explains the options thoroughly with you before commencing any dental work. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the practice has the most up to date dental technology. I would definitely recommend Platinum Dental to anyone needing dental work.

I have nothing but praise for Victoria Lane , my wife has been terrified of dentists for years after having a couple bad experience’s when she was younger , usually a trip to the dentist involved a dose of Valium from the Dr , and me carrying her in. But Since going to Victoria , she seems to have lost her fear and has walked in and out and she has faith in what she’s doing. The staff are all lovely and make you feel at home. Well done .

Platinum Dental staff are super friendly from the time you walk through the door. Victoria is great - she is extremely knowledgeable & efficient and she keeps you informed throughout the consultation. Their equipment is state-of-the-art technology. Going to Platinum Dental takes the worry out of going to the dentist.

Quite a few years ago, with a well entrenched dental phobia and in desperate need of a dentist, I was fortunate to come across Dr Hew Morgan! With heightened anxiety I met Hew and explained my dentistry history along with my shame and embarrassment! Hew was non judgemental and supportive, actually showing me the back door if I "needed to bolt"! I have now graduated to healthy adult who has coped with some difficult procedures and front up regularly for checkups! You feel the warmth and professionalism from the phone appointment,receptionists and now my amazing dentist, I can't thank you enough!

My family has been with Dr Morgan for many years, and since he has joined Platinum Dental, it’s never been better. Both friendly and welcoming staff throughout the state of the art dental practice makes a dental visit as pleasurable as it can be. Dr Morgan gives clear explanations of what he is doing and makes every effort to “save the tooth” and minimise the costs, and for that I am grateful. The rest of the platinum dental staff are excellent and we couldn’t fault the whole dental experience we have at Platinum dental. Highly recommended by my whole family.

If you are a bit nervous about the dentist definately give platinum a try, I don't believe a more gentle and caring dentist exists. I'm probably more extreme on the nerves side, it had been almost a decade since I had seen a dentist. I'd tried a few times but ended up getting so panicked I just gave up. The approach Dr Hew took was so different to any dentist I had seen, we had a small apt where he took some photos and discussed what it was that made me fear dentists so much. He then came up with a game plan to minimise these things. Of course I was still nervous but far less so than I have been for an appointment EVER. He was so gentle and made sure I was ok the entire time. I can't recommend highly enough - platinum dental have probably saved my teeth as I genuinely don't think I would have been able to visit a dentist if it wasn't for dr hew and his amazing team.

As someone who has had a deep fear of dentists due to childhood trauma regarding going to the dentist, I can honestly say that I have conquered this fear since facing it and going to see Huw at Platinum Dental in Nelson Bay. He has an innate way of assisting you to relax and laugh your way through each and every visit. This includes getting teeth extracted, cleaned and any after procedure, at home care as well. He is extremely thorough in his explanation’s regarding procedures and each treatment that is necessary for your dental health/hygiene and/or the many cosmetic procedures available and their suitability.
The nurses, front desk staff and other specialists always make you feel welcome and as comfortable as they can which is also an integral part of this highly professional and respectful dentistry team. I highly recommend Platinum Dental to anyone looking for an excellent dental practice and one where you are treated as a person and not a number/figure.

Can’t thank Huw and his team enough for the amazing service we receive every time we visit, just so friendly, warm and welcoming.
Huw was so caring to my daughter on our most recent visit, she had to have an extraction which she was extremely anxious about it but he talked her through every step and made sure she was ok and made her feel very comfortable. Huw is the best Dentist for the kids, makes going to the dentist something my kids look forward too!

Victoria is an amazing dentist, her care, kindness and compassion are outstanding. The work she has done on my teeth have also been outstanding

Dr Huw Morgan is an amazing, gentle and caring dentist. After many years of extreme fear of dentists, my husband convinced me to see Huw. I feel so completely at ease with him, he cares & understands your fears and guides you gently through your visits. Had a appointment today at platinum dental at Nelson bay with Victoria for the first time and may I say I highly recommend her! All staff were extremely friendly and helpful but Victoria made me feel at ease and informed and explained everything she was doing.

Deb and I booked in with Platinum Dental and both of us saw Calvin, we were extremely happy with the care, quality of service, and friendliness of all the staff. Calvin is the certainly the best dentist I've been too and both Deb and I walked out feeling great, which is a strange thing to say about a visit to the dentist!

Such a caring, friendly and experienced dental service for the whole family. The whole team really is motivated to maintain their patients long term dental health whilst remaining diligent in keeping the costs down.
