Sparrow's Mill Express (Sussex St.)

Their menu never fails to disappoint. Plenty of options to choose from. Tried rice with octopus and rice with duck. Food was fresh and tasty. Quick service too.

Worth a visit while in the area. Food court can get busy during lunch hour.

Yummy! Got the tteokbokki with noodles, which was an extra 2 dollars, so the total was $16. Very filling! I recommend 😁

The better sparrow mill and ICG. They offer half serving for boneless compared to the other branch where it's whole size only. Sad that they only recently went to cash only, but weirdly they accept payID and bank transfer. Not sure how they're going to implement the BT.

Chicken is perfectly cooked though the creamy onion sauce is cold. The fried rice wasn't bad and the black bean noodle is good. The sweet and sour is not the same as Chinese sweet and sour, but I prefer this one.

If you are looking for homemade authentic Korean food - this little stall in the foodcourt of Sussex Street will satisfy your cravings!

I had the Bibimbap & Tteokkbokki (rice cake with fish cake) and it was the most amazing dishes I've ever had!!!

I finished all of that and i'm just a small girl. I can't stop thinking about this resto! Will definitely come back to try more of their other dishes!

If you are Korean food lover who get use to with lots of side dishes with your meal, this place isn’t the right place for you.
As you notice, this place is is express, there for quick lunch or dinner service is more important than sit down and taking your time enjoying tour meal.
Don’t get me wrong, my LA Ribs was awesome!
Ribs was marinated nicely and I do enjoy it.
Served with rice only.

Didn’t expect much at first, was thinking I might not be able to finish the large serving rice included, but I was wrong. The food hit homemade authentic notes upon first bite. Had the kimchi side to pair with the pork belly dish and it was a good decision. Will be back to try other dishes. Keep it up.

My daughter was craving for some fried chicken when were in Sydney and came across this one and what a treat! Food was fantastic.

Absolutely love the food here! My favourite dish is number 17 the cold noodles, so refreshing and delicious. The staff are very nice too.

Late review from last year’s order. It was a bit of a drama. We ordered and didn’t receive our food after waiting for 1.5 hours. Turned out the driver had bailed. They recooked new batch for us and the same thing happened. After hours of waiting, they gave us full refund. I wished I had chicken instead of refund, but I’m happy with how things were handled.

Food are amazing too! I used to a regular customer back then when I lived nearby. Since, I moved to other suburb, I keep craving their food! My favourites are Kimchi fried rice with chicken, Samgyetang / Ginseng chicken, Toppoki soup, Steamed dumpling, and Jajjangmyeon / Black bean noodle. I’ve tried a few black bean noodle from other restaurant but never as tasty as I got from here! Very recommended and definitely will visit again whenever I stop by city! ❤

Ordered from here through UberEats; I got the spicy chili chicken and it was delicious. Then I actually went there and got the same order. It tasted delicious, again, and the staff was nice and polite. Had to wait a bit for my order and they don’t accept credit but c’mon. Get your butt to an ATM and experience this great food.

I've always had a good experience with the staff. They always seemed friendly and spoke/understood enough English.

The fried chicken is super good. Not quite as amazing as Naruone next door, but the rest of their dishes (soups, noodles, standard Korean fare) are actually good. Go to one of these two!

Great fried chicken and a variety of flavours too.
The menu also includes other dishes but they're famous for fried chicken.
It can be expensive for one but reasonable in a group
They get really busy at dinner time and there most likely will be a wait.
They dont deal with odd numbers very well

Saw a new flashy Korean restaurant in the neighborhood which just opened and decided to take a quick look at it.

Initially it was very busy (which is a good sign of things) and had a long wait, so decided to come back another time to see what the big deal was.

The menu options seems to be focused on the fried chicken dishes, which is only useful if you are sharing OR the other person also wants to have fried chicken. (will have to try this sometime, as it's a bit more pricier than hot-star nearby). But there are other stuff too.

My personal favorites so far at this place, are the dolsot bibimbap and the sundubu jigae (tofu+kimchi stew).

My children love their $9.80 mid chicken wings and chips meal. The wings are very tasty and crunchy and the chips are also very nice. Highly recommended.

this is chain restaurant, especially here is quickly and cheap, and tasty as well. the cheaper price didn’t influence the quality. if u want to try the korea style fried chicken, here is ur good choice to visit.
