Benefield's Rose Farm

It is a very picturesque camping site around the pond. Very close to Ampol service centre, so rather noisy with motorway traffic and trucks braking.

Great spot, we stayed overnight whilst en-route from the Gold Coast to Port Maquarie. Arrived in the dark, we were traveling south, there is no problem with access, there is a protected centre lane on the Pacific Highway to slowdown and turn onto Kungala Road when the northbound lane is clear. Nil issue getting over the northbound lane. If your arriving from the south you just turn directly onto Kungala Road. The access to the campsite is about 200m down Kungala Road on your right, so very convenient. Didn’t notice much road noise, there is plenty of level space on the grass overlooking the lake, it’s a pretty spot. There was one or two covered picnic tables by the lake, but that was about it. Perfect spot for a cost effective overnighter when traveling up or down the east coast, but you need to be self contained.

Beautiful

A large variety of rose bushes to choose from. Decent prices and some roses are actually very fragrant. Overall presentation could be better such as mowing the lawn and clean up of all the dog's poop on the ground. I would rate this experience as average.
