Ruse Bar and Brasserie

We got the lamb belly, sirloin, tortellini, and milk chocolate with puff pastry dessert. The food is excellent and the service was really great.

The only thing I would take a star off for is that they charge $10 for half a wine bottle of still water and we were not informed that this water costs money so we ordered a second bottle as half a bottle was not enough to get through the full meal with and so we spent $20 on still water which is ridiculous. A meal with starter, main, and dessert is about $70-90 per person which is expected for a restaurant like this.

Ruse is a hidden gem in Parramatta. It serves very delicious modern Australian food. Their food is bold in flavours and well-balanced to suit the multi-cultural dynamic of this suburb. What’s so special about Ruse is that their waitress/waitresses are very friendly and they even remember their regular customers.

Went here for the first time for a birthday party and we got given the private dining space. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. It’s such a beautiful restaurant and very fitting for a mature birthday dinner. The service was top quality. They were all very attentive to our needs, very friendly and very accomodating. The food was amazing. Every single dish was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Food : Everything tasted amazing and all dishes were served at a reasonable time.
Service: We were looked after and staff were attentive.
Price: Between four people, it was about $150pp, this included cocktails.
For a local restaurant, it definitely ticked all the boxes.

This cozy place has excellent menu with perfect portion sizes. Great choice of drinks in their bar. Exceptional quality of food, tastes amazing. Been here with family and friends for diner. Kids can enjoy their special menu as well. Staff here is very friendly and helpful.
Must try their Ravioli and fried Calamari.

Ruse is by far one of the best restaurants in Sydney, if not Australia. From the impeccable service, unmatched quality in food, and excellent atmosphere i can’t recommend it enough. I went on Friday night for dinner to celebrate my birthday and Scott was our waiter. He was very attentive and made great recommendations for us which we enjoyed immensely. We tried a cut of steak we haven’t had before and it was the best steak that myself and my partner have ever tasted. The Wagyu Tartare and Lamb Cracker is a must have for entrees. Will be returning to dine at Ruse as soon as we can!!!

We had the pleasure of dining at Ruse yesterday for lunch, where we all experienced the best flavoursome burgers any of us had ever eaten! The staff were fabulous, attentive & professional. We can’t wait to come back to try the restaurant menu & spread the news to our many Sydney friends!

I've been here for dinner twice now with my work colleagues and every dish we have had has been amazing.

The sushimi is fresh and melts in your mouth.

The oysters are sweet and salty and never enough.

I had the fish dish and that was cooked to perfection, and others had the steaks and tomahawks which they said was amazing.

The only issue was on one particular Friday night (booked for 8pm) was that it did take a while for our mains to come out (about an hour after our entrees), we did have to prompt our waiter to check on the mains, and they did with a smile.

We will definitely keep coming back though, and will most probably book at an earlier time, just in case the wait times are long again, which makes it a late night dinner and we were getting a bit tired that last time.

Me and my partner came here for a dinner and it was great. The food was okay. Service and atmosphere were amazing. I loved the sea food, and live music.

Fantastic meal! If you are with a group, I would recommend the set menu as it gives you a great variety of options, and they were very accommodating to any dietary requirements or preferences.

We went on a Friday night to celebrate my partner , his mum and his dads birthday and it was beautiful. The service was amazing, our waiter Tim did an excellent job repeating orders, ensuring no one has any allergies, ensured we always had a drink in our hand and paid extreme detail into celebrating the three birthdays. He really put in his effort to ensure that our experience was at the highest standard. Food was divine and so were drinks. Pricing was roughly a bit over $100 per person, mind you we had a few starters and drinks, plus we had a surcharge for having a group of 6. Definitely paying for both quality of food and service.

Fantastic from start to finish. Attentive service with a comfortable ambience. Ordered the Scotch fillet and Snapper. Both done to perfection, paired with a delicious sauce. Quite easily the best restaurant in Parramatta and easily competes with many much more expensive restaurants in Sydney!

Dined at Ruse recently and was pleasantly impressed with the quality and experience.

The food we ate was cooked to perfection, each dish had its unique flavours and textures, and it all worked so well together.

Great food and service here. The atmosphere in the restaurant and surrounds is also very good. It’s a hidden location so make sure to hunt this place down and pay it a visit!

Ruse has the best Calamari and duck we have ever tasted! Love it!!

Exceeded my expectations!!! Excellent service, great ambience, buzzing and delicious food 😋 We are a family of 4 and shared for starters the focaccia, oysters and calamari…. all were superb! For mains 3 of us had scotch fillet steak grilled to perfection. And my daughter had the lamb pasta that she loved. Unfortunately no room for dessert !! Will definitely be back.

This was my first visit to Ruse, and I was very impressed from the moment I walked in the door. Greeted by very friendly and helpful staff, seated quickly. Ruse was clean and tidy and gave an excellent view of the cooking and food prep areas as you enter. The food was delicious, easily one of the best steaks that I have ever had in my life - The 800g Wagyu Scotch Fillet cooked medium rare, did not disappoint at all. If you are looking for some outstanding food and customer service, Ruse is a must.

Loved the food, especially the lamb belly cracker which just melts in your mouth. Steak was also very good, with simple but very flavourful accompaniments. No regrets in ordering a side of roasted carrots as well, so delicious! Very good service as well.

Amazing food and service!!! Came here for my partners birthday and it completely exceeded all my expectations! The staff were so friendly and attentive, the cocktails were amazing, every dish we had was so delicious - especially the dessert special! The staff went above and beyond, they even sung happy birthday which was so touching! Highly recommend this place, what a gem in parramatta!!
