Spice Affair Indian Cuisine Canberra

OMG that chicken tandoori was delicious!! We also had the palak paneer which is one of my favorite Indian dishes. I would love to come back to try more favorite dishes. We live in Melbourne and happy to know this place for stop over when we drive to Sydney.

A special thank you to Amit and the friendly crew at Spice Affair Casey for making our niece’s 21st birthday celebrations extra special. Our family really enjoyed the delicious cuisine, great service and the ambience. Especially appreciated your thoughtful gesture in serving us a special treat for dessert with a birthday candle and happy birthday playing on the sound system. An unforgettable experience!

If you are looking for the perfect Indian meal look no more. The service was very professional, and all about you. Quick service, and food to die for, and does not hurt the bank account.
Overall perfect, and we will travel the 20 mins again just to get the great service and great food.

We read the great reviews for Spice Affair and decided to give it a try.
We drove from Sydney to spend a few day's in Canberra and we are so glad we came here.
The owner Amit was amazing in recommending great tasting dishes. This has to be the best tasting Indian food we have experienced by far. Thank you for a exceptional dinner and my wife Sonia can't wait to visit again.

The best indian in Canberra by miles. Always had great experience ordering take out, but dining in the owner is wonderful and attentive. Food is top tier with great spice levels, you will not be disappointed.

I just love this restaurant! The food is so incredibly delicious and the staff are so lovely and welcoming. I need to try more of their menu but can hands down say their butter chicken is one of the best I’ve ever had. Really good sauce to meat ratio too. Already excited to eat here again!

First time visiting, simply excellent food. Perfect blend of spice , heat and flavour.

An affair I would like to have again!! Yep. :) If you are looking for a very tasty Indian food in the Gungahlin area, this is the place. Indian food kept the Indian way, instead of modernizing n messing up like many other places lately. Quantity was good for the price. That's a win!! Mid size dining area, highly recommended to reserve in advance during peak hours. The service was great, food was brought in the right order n perfect timing. The host stopped by to check mid dining which lot of places doesn't do these days. Good range in the bar, and a toilet facility available too.

Best Indian restaurant I have visited now couple of times ..

We have thought about trying this restaurant for a couple of years now but since I’m super fussy about my butter chicken & would only eat it from 1 restaurant in Canberra I was sceptical.
Have tried lots of other Indian restaurants in Canberra but haven’t liked any of them.
So I had messaged them on facebook to ask about the butter chicken & told them how I like it.
They responded very promptly with how it was made, so we went in & ordered a takeaway.
The owner (I didn’t catch his name) was a lovely man who was telling us that everything was freshly made to order not pre- made.
That was impressive on its own, but what was even more impressive was he gave me a sample of the butter chicken sauce. It was ahhmazing!
What a lovely surprise that was!
I also ordered chicken tikka for a starter, that was the nicest tikka I have ever eaten in my life, wow just wow!
My partner had papdi chaat that they loved & the chicken korma.
Needless to say the butter chicken was creamy, spicy & the chicken was super tender.
Next time I’m very keen to book a table & eat in.
What lovely welcoming atmosphere, & I say to the lovely owner…. You are stuck with us now, it’s safe to say we will be regulars now.!

One of the best Indian in Canberra if not the best. We got a few dishes to take away and every one was delicious. Will definitely come back one day to eat in restaurant when it's more fresh.

Spice Affairs is easily the best Indian restaurant in Gungahlin area. The food is cooked, served and presented with incredible care.

This could be the best Indian I’ve ever had. Happened to stumble across Spice Affair on a trip to Canberra. Excellent menu with lots of variety outside of your standard dishes. Very friendly service. Definitely will come back.

My favorite curry restaurant in Australia. I am working through the whole menu and so far the Mango or Pistachio Chicken stand out the most. I prefer dining in because the flavors are best when you get it fresh. I eat gluten free/celiac and so far I haven't noticed any stomach pain so I trust them now.

Amazing food, beautiful ambience. We had the Butter Chicken, Onion Bhaji, Naan, and Gulab Jamun - all delicious (particularly the Bhaji and the curry). Best Indian food in Canberra by far! Highly recommend.

We went here for Father’s Day recently and it was the best Indian food I have had in many years. The wait staff were attentive without being intrusive and the food was excellent and arrived with perfect timing. The atmosphere of the place gave the impression of being busy (which it was) without being crowded. Just lots of families having a good time. We’re going there again next week.

We had dinner last night at this restaurant, the staff was very welcoming. Abhi and other staff was very kind, the food was hot and spice level was as per the request. I would love to try again. Thanks spice affair for such ab amazing service.

Absolutely fantastic and authentic food , full of flavours.. the salted lassi was one of the best I have had in a long long time.

Really nice atmosphere.Food was delicious.We order entry Amiritsa fish, main dishes 3 we couldn't finished we take away ...Desert was mixed of 3 we fished but were so full...Over all everything was really tasty and also service was amazing and very friendly.It deserve 5 stars
