Kynefin Cafe

Great cafe in Hall, just dropped in for Coffee and decided to have the vanilla cream donut. Delicious. Very friendly staff. They also have a great breakfast and lunch menu, as well as a great selection of cakes. I'm definitely trying the creme egg rocky road next time

This is my favourite Canberra cafe.
I find the food here sooo tasty, every mouthful. From the home made baked beans to the curry meals. I have tried them all and none disappoint.
The service is gentle and welcoming.
The atmosphere is free, relaxed and conducive to a good chat and laugh.
Oh I forgot to mention the bombalini. They are a touch from heaven.

Menu is small but perfectly formed with a British influence. Coffee is good (love the cups) and food is top notch. Highly recommend the Crempogs (super light and fluffy welsh pancakes) - so delicious! The baked goods are yummy too, don't leave without a Bombolini - those donuts are delicious! Lots of seating inside and out and a really relaxed vibe. Well worth making the trip to Hall for!

We really liked this cafe. I had the vegan curry and it was pretty good. We're looking forward to going back to try the tasty looking Welsh biscuits.

Gorgeous little cafe on the outskirts of Canberra. We are a big time fan of the bomboloni at Kynefin (going all the way back to the days when they had trays and trays of bombolini for sale at the farmers markets, literally what I imagine heaven to be like 😜). The guys also do a mean bacon and egg roll and the best coffees. Love your work, we will be back again and again and again!

We highly recommend Kynefin cafe. Very friendly service and dog friendly shaded outdoor dining area.Delicious dishes which are Welsh inspired.Must try! Omg the Bombollini cakes are out of this world, youve not had a Bombollini until youve had one here! Delicious Veg/vegan options also available,i had the vegan curry which is on point and hubby had "the best eggs benny" hes ever had.Situated in a very quiet location with shops/post office/oval and free parking nearby. We are definitely coming back! We wish the lovely owner all the success.

Situated in the north of Canberra makes you feel you’re more rural than actually are.

A great menu full dishes that just awesome. The prices are on par for the area. The food was quickly served with decent sized portions.

This is about the most perfect cafe experience you could ask for. Of course, it helped that we were there within an hour of closing on a quiet Sunday afternoon straight after new year - there was no wait and no problem getting the perfect seat outside. I imagine on market Sundays things might be a little more hectic.

We had flat whites (you can choose a cup or a mug; we chose mugs and they were lovely stoneware), and then between us tried the banana bread (warm and buttery) and one of their signature filled doughnuts - the passionfruit one. Everything was fresh and great and totally delicious. And it took at least 5 min to choose from everything in the pastry case - there were Welsh cakes and rocky road and all sorts. I think they want you to come back to assuage your initial indecision and it's a fine marketing technique because we will DEFINITELY be back. Maybe for brunch next time; that menu looks amazing!

There's quite a lot of seating indoors, more along a long verandah outside, and free parking on two sides of the building. The verandah overlooks the sport oval on the other side of the quiet street. The gentleman who served us was lovely and kind. Just a 5-star experience; thanks Kynefin!

Beef and bacon burger was fantastic, and the fish and chips was delicious with the homemade tartare sauce. Great atmosphere as you get to have the rustic feel of being in a village with amazing food and drinks.

Quaint little cafe with ample parking out the front. We arrived and placed our order shortly before a massive breakfast and coffee rush. Staff were very accomodating despite a massive influx of customer shortly after our arrival and our food came out in an absolutely record time and tasted incredible! Their smoked salmon eggs benedict was a good sized serve, the hollandaise was delicious and the smoked salmon they used was wonderful. I’m originally from Canada and have had more than my fair share of salmon, safe to say I’m very picky! This was lovely thick fall apart smoked salmon that wasn’t dry.

Well this is a secret that’s not going to last. Delicious breakfast, Smokey beans with goats cheese was light and full of flavour. Gluten free options were good. Not just a place for donuts.

Kynefin is becoming one of my fave local cafes. Based in the pretty village of Hall, on the outskirts of Canberra, just off the Barton Highway, it offers a small but delicious selection of home baked sweets and savoury pastries.Their breakfasts, salads and lunch menus all looked good and moderately priced, but the crumbed mushroom and chicken pastry won the contest and I was so glad it did. It was totally yummy. The outdoor seating can be a bit cold on a mid-winter's day but has lovely views of the neighbouring grounds which host markets, and sports events.

Quaint little Cafe, great service ,great food , nothing to elaborate but very yum, a nice selection of sweets , pastries, cakes, alcohol is also available again nothing to elaborate selection of beer, ciders,wines and a limited selection of spirits. Indoors and outdoor seating , but again, it's only a little place, so seating is limited inside and out , if your near by to HALL , call in, you won't be disappointed..🫶🌟

Lovely people, great building - lots of outdoor seating on the verandah. I had an awesome salad that included pumpkin seeds, potatoes, and strawberries.
Will definitely go back next time we’re in Hall.

Really good food. I had the beef burger absolutely top quality very tasty would definitely come again. Long black coffee was also top quality.Try it you will not regret comming.

Really enjoyed the flavour of their flat white. Pancakes were crumbly but paired with the caramel, fruits and cheese cake dollop it was really delicious and filling.

Loved it. Friendly staff, good selection of food. The hot chocolate was great. The biscuits are fantastic!

Really lovely breakfast with the family here, friendly staff, and delightful food. The kids had fabulous homemade crumpets and jam, they were fluffy and delicious. The bacon and egg burger was cooked to perfection and the mushrooms on toast were SO good. Will definitely come here again next time we walk up One Tree Hill!

Although it was booked out, we were able to order and sit at an available table outside.
