The cafe where you are always greeted with a warm smile. Very good coffee and a nice variety of food to take away.
My favourite stop on my Monday morning drive from Canberra to Kiama.

OK. So glad to see the spirit of HM is blossoming after a long time between visits.

I had an Asian inspired roast pumpkin chicken salad bowl - made with love, a medley of flavours. Mrs had smoked salmon poached eggs on sourdough with cool mango salsa. We were going to share but she wouldn't hear of it!

These guys care about what they serve and it shows. Yuuuummm! Thank you!

(Had to hit the sweets for a takeaway treat - they have some serious gear...!)

Food is so beautifully made and prepared at the Merchant and the coffees are always on point. The staff are friendly and helpful, and I especially love their pumpkin pastries.

A boutique cafe that seems to have the trendy health crowd firmly in its sites. We found it a little pricey, but the food was delicious and the staff attentive. My wife particularly liked the mayonnaise on the chicken burger. Definitely worth a visit 😀

The best breakfast I have had in a long time! Plenty of gluten free options, even though not specifically shown on the menu. The GF bread is very tasty. And for some added morning happiness there was a seahorse on my coffee!

One the best cafes I've been to! Interior design was very pretty. Felt very homely too with their service. Staff were welcoming and friendly. 10/10 would come back here!

Great food, great drinks and even better staff. My hot chocolate was delicious and so was my lunch. I have severe allergies to numerous foods, and staff were amazing with accommodating this. Cafe is aesthetic too which is a plus.

My girlfriends and I went to Highlands Merchant for a catchup breakfast and it was delicious. The coffee was great as was the service. The waitstaff were so friendly and helpful with suggestions. I highly recommend the bacon and egg roll. We will definitely back.

Sunday in the Southern Highlands and our first stop was at HM - gorgeous, polite and beautifully dressed staff, hard working and super kind. The coffee was really good. Food spectacular and more than happy to cater for our Coeliac. Not a long wait for a table. Love it. Take away coffee at the window big plus too.

Excellent coffee and possibly the best egg and bacon roll ever (appreciate that’s a huge call but I stand by it).

Staff were lovely and very accommodating of our large group.

Excellent coffee, fantastic gluten free options, enjoyed the vegan date and pear loaf. Took away slice for later. Wonderful customer service. Don’t miss this one. Loved the atmosphere.

I wish i had photos to share, we were passing through on way back to Victoria. It was a public holiday. We were hanging out for a coffee and we were not disappointed, excellent. We also enjoyed a deliciously freshly baked savoury muffin. And grabbed some freshly made ham salad rolls to go, for lunch. Excellent food and wonderful service. 😀
