The Post Office Cafe Moss Vale

Cannot speak to their food, because I only tried their milk coffee last week. They use coffee beans from Five Senses, and it was the first time I felt motivated to buy a bag of coffee beans to bring home. The staff were stellar, warm and inviting. The atmosphere is relaxed and open as well. Truly one of the gems in the Highlands, so very worth to stop by and purchase a coffee ✨

Inside of a building of heritage the food was great. The potato chips were the real deal with visible skin but cooked so well.

The mushroom croquettes I was always going to be a fan of but they were better than I expected with serious crunch and not too oily with just enough parmesan but delivered with more optional sauce than I needed.

Fish and chips were great with a chunky tartare and the beef burger was stacked so high it really did need the skewer through it. The cheese was overflowing and the beetroot reminded of of the milk bar Barger days but this was way better. Coffee was what I needed! ☕

The atmosphere was great with a good view over the trains and train station and lines outside but high ceilings on the inside if it were raining. Toilet was clean.

Popped in on our ‘doggy holiday’ from the Snowy Mountains to Port Stephens and back. What a great find! Lovely place, the food was fabulous and the staff

A cafe which was highly recommended by a local - it didn't disappoint. Staff was friendly. rooms was spacious and environment was well maintained, given it was previously the residence of the Postal Manager. The coffee is slightly more stronger than other cafes we been to, and the food was cooked well. The pot pie and mushroom croquette was very tasty. The crossiant is less buttery than the usual, but felt more healthier and different type of crisp. Definitely worth a visit when you are in the Southern Highlands! 😋👌

Most remarkable breakfast place we have found since we arrived in Australia half year ago. The atmosphere alone makes a visit noteworthy. Add to it the very good coffee, excellent pancakes, the avocado smash that was to die for. And finally the service that was like no other we have seen in Australia so far. We felt that the lady serving us knew all her regular guests by name, had meaningful conversations and gave us a welcome as if we were at home. Will certainly return when we are in the highlands again.
Update: We returned, this time on a road trip with our dog and had a nice lunch and the same friendly service - and competent ignoring of our reactive dog. Also had the first Australian pie that I actually enjoyed. Thanks so much!

The place is nice, the food is delicious, I also had coffee and it was delicious! I loved that the owner's father was there, he is a very kind and friendly man, he advised us and explained the menu since we are from another country, it was really nice to be able to share with this person, Gracias Ricardo!

5 - One of the best big breakfast that I've tried. Scrambled eggs were made to prefection and the potato rosti was yum as well. Coffee was great as well.

Lovely ambiance, delicious food and friendly staff. Enjoyed the visit here though it was a shame we just missed out on the breakfast menu! Luckily they still had the bacon and egg roll available :)

This is a great place. Friendly staff, good coffee and absolutely great food. We ordered the pancakes, and the Spanish eggs. Both were just jam packed with flavour. The pancakes are a great combination of sweet with a bit of savoury. The eggs really brought me back to Barcelona with delicious tomato sauce and chorizo.
Will definitely try to come back!

The Post has very friendly service and a wonderful atmosphere. The food is a blend of modern Italian and Australian, and is of the highest quality. The ingredients are very fresh, and bursting with flavour.

Situated on the main street of Moss Vale, the heritage location showcases the original architecture of the Post Office, and many period features remain.

The Post is a great place to enjoy time with friends and family. The Post is BYO wine.

A beautiful location for cafe, nicely renovated inside for two large areas to sit at. The staff were lovely and the food was good. The option for food might not be extensive but there were good variety. Would go back!

Great range of brunch options. Their hot chocolate is to die for! Their rustic eggs are so good!!!

I came in for breakfast this morning and had really lovely service. The waitress who served me was really friendly and even checked in to see if I was enjoying my meal. I ordered the Avocado Smash and a Chai Latte, both were really tasty. Ioved the balsamic reduction on the avocado smash - it needed more! The portion was a good size and my eggs were perfectly poached and runny. The decor is very clean and they have indoor and outdoor seating. Would recommend.

Nice and warm welcome from the staff. This is a must visit cafe in this area. I love how the shop was organised and the friendliness of the staff here. Food is also good, real coffee with reasonable price. It might be a good idea to do the reservation if you are coming in a big group or on the weekend.

Avo smash was absolutely perfect, as was the coffee. Nice terrace outside. If the busy road bothers you, inside is great too.

Loved the architecture of the old Post office (they kept the royal blue inside, great homage to the original PO) .

Always an excellent meal, breakfast or lunch. Clean and inviting with friendly staff and a solid menu. Coffee is always on point. Located in the heart of Mossvale right next to the train station.

A lovely building and interior is gorgeous. Food is delicious (breakie) and great coffee. made my picolo perfectly, im fussy! Staff are friendly and lovelyvibe here... A must visit
