Vanilla Hair Studio

Have been going to Vanilla Hair Studio for many years now, after a few previous hair disasters, Despina and her team have worked their magic on my hair to the healthiest state it has ever been. Having curly hair I used to have to cut it very often, now I can leave it grow without looking like a Christmas tree. It’s thick and healthy, and the way it grows is very easy to manage. Nobody cuts my hair like the Vanilla team does.

The beat salon in Darwin! I've never felt so heard when it comes to my hair (im a blonde). Best curly cuts! Best results I've had in my 20 years of visiting salons.The team really work with you and what you want. Highly recommend

I am so impressed with the quality of service that I always receive at Vanilla Hair Studio. Aleece is amazingly professional and an excellent hair technician. Definitely way up there in her field! I chose to travel from Palmerston where I live and work especially to Vanilla Hair Studio. I have been to numerous hairdressers around Darwin and Palmerston and have had all sorts of styles and colours.
Yesterday, I had my hair done by Rose who collaborated with Aleece (who knows the intricacies of my hair) every step of the way to meet my requests. Extremely proficient in her attention to detail. To top it off, beautiful bubbly personality which make my extended visit extremely enjoyable! I am so please with my current colour and style and no doubt when I want to make a change, the girls will bend over backwards to make it work.
I cannot thank you enough Vanilla Hair Studio Team for being so amazing. I cannot recommend you highly enough!!

I cannot recommend Vanilla Hair highly enough. It starts with the little things. This salon is tucked within the stony walled historic Vic Arcade which means it is off the street so I never have that dreaded since of being seen when I look like a drowned rat (after the wash) that you get at other salons that face out onto a busy street. It creates a cosy atmosphere but it is a funky saloon inside. They have to showing video hits which I like, it creates the right vibe. I never seem to wait long here, there is always someone ready to get things started by washing my hair and that is always a treat (I've had some salons that treat it like a utility but for me it is part of the relaxing experience). Then the hair cut itself. I would recommend Rose (if she is still there). She really listened and understood exactly what I wanted and produced the results. I have long hair and a lot of it. She took the time to cut it wet and dry to perfect the look. As I have a wave in my hair she made sure not to use razor scissors (they turn my hair to a frizzy mess) and chipped into my hair using a style you don't always see, that is twisted the hair and snipped into to get really messy layers that I love. From looking around I could see plenty of other happy customers with the other clients too. Plus, and importantly, the prices are very reasonable especially by Darwin standards. I have not been able to get this level of quality, value or comfort at any other salon. #letsguide

Great service, free coffee and shampoo with head massage with your cut. On the expensive side though, since you pay for what you get. Handy if you work near the mall.

I am new to Darwin and made the mistake of trying a different salon in Darwin CBD about a month ago, and they ruined my hair, turning it from blond to brown/orange (I was just going in for my routine regrowth fix), I then contacted Vanilla Hair Studio and the ladies were so nice and professional about fixing it for me, they have transformed my hair back to how it is meant to be, and have booked me in to continue the fix (I now need colour correction from the previous salon's mistake) I feel like myself again and like I don't need to hide my hair like I have been for the last month, thank you so much to the vanilla girls!
