Dux Hot Water

All I can say is "keep up the great manufacturing of these hot water cylinders". We have our DUX 250F136 since May 2002 and have just had it blow up today (15.08.2022). That's 20 years and a bit!!! And all plumbers that have serviced it over the years have always said "you don't ever get this out of a cylinder....usually only get around 12-14 years", so we are happy to say that we have just purchased the same cylinder again and hope to get the same usage.

Just called regarding a problem with an old Dux unit and i found the service to be great and super helpful. We have Dux units at all our properties and they all function great and when they don't are fixed quickly.

Great place with a good work ethic

I purchased a Brand New $1,175 DUX 315L hot water system form Bunnings late Friday, had plumber install it on Saturday, then on Sunday the relief valve at the top Failed & Ruptured Opened with Water Streaming Out, I isolated the tank water, took the faulty relief valve to Bunnings, they then said that DUX deals with the Warranty not them, they rang DUX & were informed that I had to go back home (40km round trip) & take a photograph of the Serial Number, then send it to DUX, then DUX in several days from now would send a plumber to install the relief valve & that I would "Pay for the Cost of Installing it", the relief valve itself is just an $80 item, having no hot water for multiple days & waiting for DUX to install it is Deplorable at best, so I rang DUX from home & complained about it to them directly, their reply was "we stand by the quality of our products", this statement itself is a Lie as their product only lasted just One Day before failure. SO I HAVE LEARNED MY LEASON ABOUT "DUX", DON'T BUY ANOTHER DUX HOT WATER SYSTEM EVER AGAIN, there are other manufactures out there besides DUX & I'll be buying from them from now onward.

Hot water system faulty electrical and out of warranty, cost to fix price of a new system and only a 5min job. Buy a rheem instead as they have 3 years warranty not 1 year.

My hot water tank is 3 years old & I have lost count of the number of times the pilot light has gone out. Calling a plumber to relight it is expensive and as a 78 year old I find it difficult to be on my knees to do it myself. I have warned the other 8 villas in my complex to try a different brand when their tanks need to be replaced. I fully expected to not have problems after just 2 years.

Very disappointed with Dux. Everyone complaining about their system failing after a year, that's nothing. Ours was faulty right on installation. The plumber was so rough he also dinted the tank and G J Gardners had the audacity to say we dinted it when concreting. They replaced the part and it seemed to work. Anyway during the first few months we noticed lots of water dripping from it continually. I called customer service and they told us it is meant to leak water all the time and if we have a plumber out and it is not faulty we have to pay the plumber, so of course we decide not to, as you do when you have no money after moving into a brand new home. The solar HWS kept on not heating water, we finally get a plumber out and low and behold he tells us that is not meant to leak that much water. I call Dux again and they say we were suppose to measure the output of dripping water, which no-one told us to do on the first call to them back in 2015. Now the product is out of warranty and they will not pay for it to be fixed. Also the diverter has now rusted out and failed. What an inferior product and horrible customer service. I called to ask them where their head office was, and guess what, they gave us the wrong address for service of VCAT documents!!

Avoid this company! Went to Bunnings to purchase a hot water tank and paid for the product and installation. On the day of installation, got a call from these guys asking me to pay additional $400+ for installation (this is after I paid $300 already). The hot water tank costs $700 and they want me to pay $700 for installation?! What a joke!
