What a perfect dinner! 💯💯💯

The cozy atmosphere, accentuated by the warm, dim lighting, created a welcoming ambiance even with a full house. The restaurant's buzzing energy added to the experience. The service was impeccable, and the food was simply perfect. From start to finish, it was a delightful dining experience that I thoroughly enjoyed.

It was our first night in town after a long flight. 7 of us got together and had dinner here. The food was top and I had the Kangaroo steak. My friends had the roasted pork belly which I was told was also good. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and desserts to share and each one was a good potion for sharing. The staff were very friendly and service was excellent. Come here for a good meal with friends.

The server was very friendly and polite He made me feel so comfortable. They had special cocktail which he recommended me but i didn’t like much so he exchange with another drink. Thank You buddy( the guy with hair bun).

My partner managed to get a booking here on the Friday long weekend & we enjoyed the seafood spaghetti with salted roe and prawn oil $39.

The atmosphere is warm & charming with low lighting, wooden furnishings, cellar bottles of wine lining the walls & cushioned booth seats.

From a friendly welcome on entry by the bartender to the attentive but non intrusive service throughout the evening as well as being left to stay until closing time, Balthazar is incredibly comfortable and intimately relaxing.

Amazing! Couldn’t fault it. The food was so flavoursome and the staff were lovely, particularly our main waitress (missed her name but she was Welsh). The kingfish is exceptional and very well priced. Similar restaurant in Sydney would be double what we paid

Love the dimly lit lights that give such a romantic vibe to the place. Service was impeccable, the lovely receptionist and waitress wished my partner happy birthday as i mentioned in the booking that we were celebrating him that night. The liver parfait was divine but i wish there was more bread as there was so much paté left. Roasted garlic potatoes were delectable - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The seafood spaghetti was delicious though it was quite rich as a main. Steak fillet was so tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Thank you for a great experience :)

Set menu in the private dining area for a business dinner. The atmosphere was great and the food was absolutely divine. The staff were super attentive and made excellent wine suggestions and kept the glasses full. Wonderful experience. The food just melted on the tongue with delicious flavours.

What's there not to like about this place ?! The food , atmosphere, and service are always exceptional . This time was for a special occasion, a birthday celebration and what a treat?! Make sure to put this on your list of restaurants to visit as you won't be disappointed.!!!

We had an amazing lunch experience here today. From the moment we arrive all the staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and polite. She noticed my wife birthday in the reservation note and the staff congregated her for it.

Service was impeccable, staff always on top of it, happy to help and friendly at all times. We really feel like we are sitting in a 5 star restaurant.

On to the food!

The mushroom and ricotta tart was nice. It may be too heavy for a single person but it was nice little entree for sharing.

The kangaroo, beef fillet, caulini and doughnuts were nice too. I wouldn’t say it exceeded our expectations but it was nice and enjoyable still. I was not fully satisfied at the end so in hindsight I should probably order the bread & butter or the potato for sides.

But nevertheless we had a great time today and we really enjoy the place. Highly recommended for anyone looking to have special meal.

What a fantastic find. I have the kangaroo 🦘 dish and I have to say that was a risk. Mist places haven’t got a clue how to cook roo. This place absolutely nailed it. Perfection. I wish I had taken a photo of it. The duck 🦆 batter potato 🥔 chips 🍟 were awesome 👏 as well.

If there was any criticism there is only one. The coffee ☕ was not hot. Yeah we could have asked them to heat it up, however… we didn’t.

The staff member we had was a cool 😎 guy. All of the staff seemed really good.

The place is dark, and takes quite a bit of time to adjust when you first walk in. I remember the feeling of not knowing what’s going on when I first walked in. No one to immediately seat you, people sitting at a massive bar to your left, it was hard to know what to do or where to go.

Obviously we worked it out, however, it can throw you off balance when you first walk in.

Anyway, we’ll worth the $400 plus bill 💵 for 4 of us. Very nice.

Found the place randomly. Went in without the reservation. Fortunately they had bar table seats for us. Professional service, the waiters were super attentive. Amazing food and atmosphere.

An intimate upscale restaurant in Perth CBD and very close to Elizabeth Quay. We enjoyed all the food that we’ve ordered. Tasty and delicious. Booking way ahead of time is essential especially for dinner if you prefer to be seated before 8.30pm. Fully recommended! I will definitely return.

Had my birthday dinner here and it was just amazing. It is definitely not overpriced as some people have mentioned here. The portion size is huge compared to a lot of other fancy places. I was so full by the time the dessert arrived. The food is amazing. And not to forget the service. The best foh service I’ve come across in a long time. The staffs were super friendly and just so fun to talk to. Took their recommendation for a red wine, which was $130 a bottle, but it was so worth it. And I love the dark romantic atmosphere of the restaurant. Highly recommend and I will be going back.

The top notch customer service & quality liquor will definitely be above your expectation.

The only downside which I noticed would probably be the spacing in between seats which would make some uncomfortable.

Everything about dinner at Balthazar was perfect. The street outside on a Thursday night was quiet but inside it was dark and inviting, full to capacity with diners. The atmosphere, service, food and drinks were perfect. We started off with a cocktail, oysters and beef tartare which were delicious. Then had the duck, seafood pasta, potatoes and broccolini. All dishes were rich, perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. My only regret was that I couldn't fit more in and was too full for dessert.

Balthazar currently nails the sweet spot of the casual reality of working in the city, and doesn't make you feel out of place; but the menu and particularly the wine list hold all of the finer details that you would expect from the top of the market.
The food is outstanding, fresh produce served in elegant recipes, paired with amazing wine.

Well worth the money you could easily spend in a lesser venue.
Go for a business lunch, and that special occasion.

Had an amazing dinner here to celebrate my hubby’s birthday. Everything we order were delicious, staffs are all very friendly and attentive. The oyster is so fresh and the icy granita matched with the oyster very well. Mushroom tart was yummy but a little filling, beef tartare was amazing too love the crispy bit on top. The seafood pasta was a bit too oily, but it tastes good. The duck breast is cooked perfectly.
